Gliding back down to the ground did not use stamina so even when bottomed out it was possible to get back to the ground safely. That was how he did it now, up above the wind then glide down to the other side. It was smooth and efficient and used the least amount of stamina. Anything to conserve right now was useful. Switching Camouflage to Grass and Odour Alteration to the same, Aarav remained in position, used Natural Plant Healing and focused on Body Cleansing to see if he could get any of these older Talents to grow stronger after some time being in use. Body Cleansing did not improve but something felt interesting about Touch of Light and Targeted Healing. When he focused on them it seemed that they were ready to improve. Individually and together, they seemed to want to merge or improve in tandem with one another. He wasn't sure which.

First focusing on Touch of Light first, Aarav reviewed the process in detail again. Pushing and nudging the process to see where it could be made more efficient after his body had adjusted to this Talent's patterns, it did improve in small and meaningful ways. Then in the back of his mind, as he felt those improvements take hold, Targeted Healing started to pulse and activate, almost like it had a life of its own. Sitting in the grass Camouflaged, Aarav tried to hide the light that seemed to be emitted from its body as the light of Healing continued to adjust and mould itself to the process, bending to his will as he pushing it further and further along the path that he wanted to travel. This would not have been possible if his body had not spent the last months carefully carving out pathways for the energy flow so he was grateful for that.

The pushing and shoving and contouring of channels and body elements finally began to bear fruit and the result was not what he had expected. As the flow of energy continued unabated, it grew faster and the pulses that it had started with became smoother and more even. Then he got a notification. It was useful and unusual at the same time.

Your Talent Touch of Light has grown to Touch of Light +T, each minute you focus on Natural Plant Healing will gain +2% Exp up to a maximum of 300%. In addition, you will gain +2% healing per minute up to a maximum of 300%. Evolve this Talent to get greater bonuses. Only Targeted Healing +T Talent can be employed while using this Talent, all your attention must be focused on your Natural Plant Healing Skill.

Your Talent Targeted Healing has grown to Targeted Healing +T, it will heal external wounds 10x faster than normal if you focus on that area. Will not reduce damage but remove bleeding statuses quickly. In addition, you will gain +1% healing per minute up to a maximum of 300%. Evolve this Talent to get greater bonuses. Only Touch of Light +T Talent can be employed while using this Talent, all your attention must be focused on your Natural Plant Healing Skill.

Your Talents, Targeted Healing +T and Touch of Light +T have a special effect when used together. Instead of enhancing your natural healing capability, it will allow you to convert 15*Lv of Natural Plant Healing into 30*Lv of Natural Plant Healing between HP, MP and SP, this can only be done once per hour and will not work if you use the same input and output resource.

You have learned the Light Magic Spell Weak Heal. It will heal HP at the cost of MP. The amount of healing will vary based on the Level of the Spell. Spell range depends on Level. This spell can be cast on multiple targets at the cost of efficiency as long as they are within range.

Wow, that was a lot! And my prayers have been answered I have a healing spell now! I guess this universe really does listen to your needs... Aarav was still actively testing that since anything should be possible as long as he pushed hard enough, right? While on the ground he was also scanning the air for any bird that he could hunt down and eat for stronger wings. There might be some birds on the roofs of the houses in the village. He would need to check for that. It was time for stronger and more capable wings. He intended to stay away from the ground whenever possible, now that he could.

A strong flap later and he was soaring through the air again. Guiding his passage with the fins and legs that he had manifested to get to the closest rooftop he landed on the edge of a single storey farmhouse. It was the only way to describe the building that he was perched on. As Water, he was clear and see-through but Thatch was a better use of Camouflage and also while he was at it, the Brick of the chimney that looked like it was still in use. With those two additions, his memory bank of 10 Textures was full so he would need to get rid of old ones in the future if he wanted to blend with new things. He purged Polished Wood to bring it back down to nine, just in case there was an emergency. Best to be prepared! He could always get it again if need be.

This was one of the outer buildings on one of the outer farms so there was not much else around it. He could have walked the whole way to the village but the rustling of the dry grass would have given him away if he had. The only other alternative was what he was planning next, short hops to the village and continuing to hide as water and grass as he went. Aarav sighed; it was going to be a long road to get to the village proper with hops of forty meters at a time. Now is as good a time as any! He thought.

***************************************************

It seemed that he had over-estimated his capabilities. He had thought it was going to take a while to get to the village proper but not being able to see properly and then going round, in addition, had added a lot of time to the journey. Add to that only being able to fly and hide instead of just walking and it just made everything take forever. It was dark before he got even close to the village square, in the twelve hours since crossing the river he had done just over half a kilometre. He would have run that in ten minutes back in his old body, and that worst part was that he had not seen another flying creature yet. Arghh!!! Need...to...find...BIRD! This tiny size was grating on his last nerve.

With the absence of sunlight, it was the moon that now lit his path, white light, shone down faintly and he could continue to move through the grass towards the cluster of buildings that formed the village's central location. Walking while slower meant that he did not have to wait for his wings to recover so he made faster progress to the closest building. A dusty brick and mortar construction that looked like it needed some maintenance or it might come crumbling down at any moment. Not willing to test it Aarav just extended his claws and began the slow climb to the top of the wall and then on to the thatch roof. With eyes that could only see in sunlight it was difficult for him to make out any more than the area around him but what he could see seemed reminiscent of the medieval buildings he had seen in movies and on TV, those renaissance festival nuts would be crazy over the architecture. He just wanted to get to the high ground. Scoping out the land and hopefully seeing a few fellow humans would settle him and give in a baseline for what to expect.

From what he had seen of the Human (Male) and Human (Female) during his stint as Resh, they were not dissimilar in appearance to people from his previous life. The same nose, ears, eyes and mouth, but where physically they might look the same they were also completely different. People here were casually capable of things that only heroes from comic books were able to do back home. Chopping down a tree with one blow would have been a pipe dream but it seemed that anyone could do it here with enough strength. It had shocked him as Resh and now with the full Weight of the memories of his last life, it seemed even more incredible. If Aarav could get out of this stupidly inadequate body and into a human one then that kind of thing would be possible for him too. And if not, I could always just eat the damn thing the way I did before...A glum thought indeed if he had ever had one but at least that would be taking a tree down in one go...ahh?
