He lay in a bed with the white sheets pulled up to his shoulder. His ice blue eyes were closed, he looked tiered. His nose twitched slightly and the heart monitor started going faster. I smiled slightly.
"Cole"
His eyes didn't open but he moved his head slightly.
"Baby?"
I walked over to him, he had bruises all over his face, a huge thing of gauze wrapped around his chest, making him look like he was half mummy.
I lay a hand on his cheek, cupping it slightly. Sparks flew up my hand. I smiled as his beautiful eyes fluttered open.
"Hey Cole" I muttered, my hand playing slightly with his hair.
"Hey angel"
I smiled, a tear threating to spill.
"Hey... Ivy don't cry" he put his good hand on my cheek.
"I... I'm just glad your ok" I ignored the tear and it disappeared.
He smiled at that. That same smile that I fell in love with.
"So.... When can I leave?" He asked, hope gleaming in his eyes.
"Not yet" the hope instantly disappeared.
"But... Why not?!" He complained like he was five.
"You broke your rib and it punctured your lung that's why"
"But.... I HATE hospitals" he made sure to draw out the word hate.
I sighed.
"I think you can suck it up for another week"
"A WEEK?!?!" His eyes widened.
"Yes Cole" what is he? Five?
"But...."
"Fine... I'll see if I can get you out earlier"
His blue eyes lit up.
"Thank you!" He shot me a toothy grin.
"Mhhmm" I muttered.
"Now?" He looked at me pleading.
"Fine, I'll be right back"
I got up, kissed his head, then walked out the door to go find a nurse. I smiled. I had my mate back.
