Chapter sixteen

Recap

“Ally there’s nothing you can do” trey says sadly

“It’s all my fault!” I say sobbing into treys shoulder

“No its not, it was the wolf that did it not you” trey says soothingly

“No! It was me if I didn’t run away this would have never happened!” I scream and drop to the floor

“Carter please don’t leave me, your my best friend… please you can’t die I need you” I whisper grabbing his hand, his breathing cuts off and I scream “NO!”

Ally’s pov

“CARTER!” I scream “NO! YOU CANT DIE!” I shout and feel trey trying to pull me away from carter “GET OF OFF ME!” I shout

“Ally he’s gone” trey says sadly

“No he...he...c…can’t l...leave…me” I sob and grip carters hand tighter, I can feel my whole body shaking and hear trey gasp

“A…ally what are you doing” trey says staring at my hands, I look down and my eyes widen what the hell! My hands are glowing! I don’t know why but out of instinct I place my hands over carter’s heart. The glow spreads from my hands and wraps itself around carter’s body I close my eyes and feel the magic inside of me rushing out of my hands and towards carter’s body. I hear someone gasping for breath and open my eyes what I see makes me burst out crying again carter is laid there staring at me with wide eyes he’s ok! I don’t know how but I couldn’t care less he’s ok!

“Wha…” carter says trailing off when he sees me crying “Ally? Why are you crying” he says in a whisper

“You...You…” I try to talk but I can’t I’m so happy that I throw myself onto carter and pull him into a huge hug

“I…um…I’m confused” trey says

“What are you confused about?” carter asks

“Um… well you kind of died” trey says hesitantly

“I… died?” carter says confused

“Well I guess you kinda did” I say

“Um…how am I alive then?” he asks and I wonder the same thing. How is he alive? I don’t even know what happened! All I did was think about how much I didn’t want carter to die1 I even wished someone would heal him! Wait… I wished someone would heal him and then my hands started to glow and carter comes back to life… OH! I have a new power! This happened last time when we were running from the hunters I wished that they couldn’t follow my scent and then suddenly it just disappeared! Wait! Is there like a genie or something that keeps granting my wishes because every time I’ve wished for something I’ve ended up getting it!

“I don’t know ally did something” trey says

“i… I have kind of been given a new power” I say slowly

“You’ve been given a new power?” carter says with his eyebrows raised

“Well duh! How else do you think I could have healed you?” I say sarcastically and carter just laughs

“That’s awesome” Trey says quietly

“Um… ally can I get up now?” carter asks and I feel heat rush to my cheeks I forgot I was still clinging on to carter

“Oh… sure” I say and carter laughs making me blush even more, carter stands up and that’s when I realise that he’s naked “Oh god!” I say before outing my hands over my eyes

“What?” trey says

“Carters naked!” I say in a high pitch voice, I only speak like that when I’m really embarrassed and now is obviously one of those times

“Yep” carter says “but so is trey” carter tells me smirking

“What!” I squeal “oh great! I’m surrounded by two boys who are butt naked!” I say throwing my hands in the air and hear trey and carter both laugh

“Wait… so you have a new power but can you control it?” trey asks

“I’m not sure the last time I got given a power was when I was last year and well let’s just say I had a really bad stomach bug and I kinda made everyone else on my street feel it too… um I didn’t mean too! I just didn’t know how to keep my feelings too myself” I tell them

“Well I guess this one isn’t that bad, I mean it’s only healing so if you can’t control it all you’ll do is heal everyone who’s injured” carter says and I nod I guess he’s right, then again he usually always right anyway

“I think we should go and ell your parents and my dad about this and don’t say your leaving because you aren’t” trey says and I sigh

“I know I need to come back, I don’t want you too trying to find me again and end up hurt” I say with a small smile

“Good, now come on” carter says then shifts, I laugh but shift as well. We all start running back to the pack house and I can’t stop myself from admiring treys wolf, its beautiful his fur pure black because of his alpha heritage and he still has his bright green eyes, they make his wolf look mysterious and intimidating at the same time. I shake my head trying to get all the thoughts of trey out of my head, I look to my right and see carter running along with his tongue sticking out of his mouth and all I can think is I am so glad that he is still with me.
