⚠️ TW: hospitals, panic attacks, derelization, questioning reality, implied/referenced suicide attempt ⚠️
I think that's all of them, please comment if I missed any! Enjoy :)

Ranboo looked up and saw a man in strange, white clothing, with a firm grip on his shoulders, preventing him from falling.

Of course Ranboo panicked, he had no idea who this man was.

But deep down, he felt just the tiniest twinge of disappointment. He should have jumped straight away, not wasted time looking at the sunrise.

He focused back on- no, this wasn't reality. None of this was real. He wished there was an end to it, but he guessed even death wasn't real enough to escape his mind.

'What's your name, kid?' The strange man said softly.
He seemed worried. A feeling Ranboo was oh so familiar with seeing in the past months.

Ranboo just looked at him, eyes unfocused, panic boiling inside him.

The brunette didn't seem to register what was asked. He just stared at the man dully.

'My... name...?'
his voice was hoarse and wheezy, as if it hadn't been used in days.
The cold had also obviously taken its effects on his body, he was wearing nothing but a very thin pair of pyjamas. Nothing else.

'Okay... I'll ask you again later.' The man said, seeing that he would not be getting a trustable awnser anytime soon.

'Can you come with me, please? It's cold out here, you'll freeze to death.' He motioned towards the other direction.

Ranboo shook his head, preferring to not speak. He looked over.

He saw that something was there. What it was? He had no clue.
His mind couldn't process the information anymore.
It was an ambulance, but Ranboo didn't know that.
If someone told him it was, he still wouldn't understand.

He was starting to become weak, his legs trembled in the cold.
Though his mind remained oblivious.

'It's warm in there, and we can help you get better. I don't know what's wrong, but we'll figure it out. Don't you want to come...?' Ranboo nodded slowly.
Whatever it was, he wanted it.
Maybe... just maybe... Dream couldn't follow him there... that would be nice...

The man led him to that thing he had been shown earlier.
To him, all it was was a blurry mess, but he managed to make out an opening on the side of it. A... door...? He wasn't sure, but the man told him to get inside, and held his hand, patiently leading him to it.

After about 2 minutes, Ranboo was inside, strapped into some sort of chair, he guessed.

He went back to staring at the wall opposite, head immersed in the cruel thoughts Dream made him think.

The man sat in the driver's seat. Before he got into the back, Ranboo had managed to make out a few other men with other, similar white vans.

Some looked different though. Much smaller, and they had black in them as well. Police cars.

As soon as he felt the ambulance start, his head spun, and all turned to black.

***

Ranboo woke up to a bright light shining in his eyes from above.
He opened them, and sat up quickly, looking around in a panic.

He didn't know where he was, or how he got here. All he knew was that he wasn't alone.

His eyes darted around the room, trying to look for at least one sign that would suggest that any of this was even real.

A single recognisable object or voice would be enough.

All of a sudden, what looked like a person (Ranboo wasn't quite sure), appeared in the corner of his eye.

It was a woman, she looked happy to see him awake.

'Oh! Great, you're awake! I just need to go and tell the doctor, one second.'
She smiled, walking away.

In less that a minute, she was back, this time accompanied by a similar looking figure, who's expression brightened as they entered the room.

They spoke in a calming, deep voice.

'Hello, my name is doctor Alastair, but you can just call me Eret. I believe I still don't know your name though?'
He said.

Ranboo hesitated, before speaking in a barely audible whisper.

'R..an..boo. M-Mark.. Ran.. boo..'
He didn't even look up, his gaze still stuck on the wall opposite.

'Mark Ranboo? Did I hear that right?' Eret waited for the boy's conformation, but it never came. She nodded, looking down at the clip board clutched in their hands.

'So it says here that my colleges found you this morning sitting on the side of St. Elizabeth Bridge. Correct?'
No awnser.
Eret sighed, looking down at the broken boy.

In all honesty, he looked dead.

His skin was very pale and scarred.
The normal glint had disappeared from his gaze, leaving his eyes dull, almost lifeless, more grey that their usual silvery blue.
He was so thin that you wouldn't be surprised if you were told he had never even seen food in his life.
Apart from his eyes being dead-looking, they had a peculiar expression in them, the only emotion that had stayed by his side.

Hopelessness, sadness, and a confused disoriented look.

He was there physically, but mentally, he was far, far away. That much was obvious.

Eret furrowed their eyebrows, clearing his throat in a hopeless attempt to get the boy's attention.

'Your friends are here to see you, they've been waiting for you to wake up. Shall I call them in now?' Ranboo didn't awnser.

'I'll take that as a yes...' She smiled, walking out towards the waiting room.
When she came back, they were accompanied by George, Tommy and Tubbo, who immediately launched himself to hug the boy.

'Ranboo! I'm so happy to see you, what happened!?' When Ranboo didn't even look up at him, Tubbo started to get worried.

'Ranboo..?'

'He doesn't seem to want to talk to me either. Do you have any guess on what could be going on with him?'
Tubbo shook his head.

'We don't know either. He's been like this for a few weeks now. We were hoping you might know...'

Tommy silently walked over to the boy in the hospital bed, but immediately jumped back in surprise.

Ranboo didn't seem to recognise his face, because upon seeing him, he screamed, bursting into tears and scurrying back, hitting his head on the wall in the process.

He started muttering something to himself, the others didn't understand much of it, but it sounded something like,
'No.. Dream.. bad.. bad.. away.. leave me.. alone.. stop.. bad.. not.. real.. nothing.. real.. all a lie.. help..'

'Can you three... come outside...? There's something we need to discuss...' Eret said quietly, indicating the panicked boy next to them gripping, tearing at his hair in a desperation for comfort.

There was no doubt that he was broken at this point...
