Kie: I'm so sorry for leaving you Tanjiro. Make sure to take care of your sister and yourself please.
Tanjiro woke up and quickly grabbed ahold of Nezuko. He smiled to himself, thank god she's okay!
Giyuu: You're awake.
Tanjiro quickly held Nezuko against himself in a protective stance. Did the axe not kill him? Giyuu was leaning against a tree, pretending not to be a creep that was staring at him earlier.
Giyuu: What's your name?
Tanjiro: T-Tanjiro Kamado, she's Nezuko Kamado.
Giyuu: Mhmm.
Tanjiro: What's your name?
Giyuu: Giyuu Tomioka.
Tanjiro just nodded a bit.
Giyuu: I want you to become my tsugoku.
He looked at Giyuu a bit dumbfounded, what the fuck is a tsugoku?
Tanjiro: Tsugoku...?
Giyuu: It's a Demon Slayer that is trained under a pillar.
Tanjiro: Oh.
Giyuu: So, do you accept?
Tanjiro looked down at Nezuko's sleeping figure. Maybe if he became a Demon Slayer, he can find the one who killed his family and take revenge. He'll also be able to find a way to turn Nezuko back into a human!
Tanjiro: Alright, I accept.
Giyuu: The next Final Selection should be in 2 years, so we better start training.
Tanjiro: Alright but,
He looked down worrily at Nezuko.
Tanjiro: is she going to come with us?
Giyuu: Yes, I'll need to send a letter to the Master and he'll tell the other Hashira.
Tanjiro: Are they going to be okay with it?
He looked hopefully at Giyuu and Giyuu's heart felt weird.
Giyuu: Probably not, but they won't go against the masters wishes.
Tanjiro: Alright...
Tanjiro woke Nezuko up and the three of them started to head back up the mountain. Nezuko changed into a different pair of clothes and Tanjiro started to dig the graves of his family.
Giyuu: Let me help.
Tanjiro: Thank you.
Tanjiro gave Giyuu a small smile and they both started to dig. When they were done, Tanjiro had to stop himself from crying. The fact that this is probably the last time he would ever be here is depressing. Tanjiro looked over to Nezuko, his only surviving family member.
Tanjiro: We'll never be split apart Nezuko. We'll always be together I promise.
Nezuko: MmmMmm.
Nezuko nodded, approving what he said. Tanjiro looked over to Giyuu, he was just staring at the sky.
Tanjiro: We're ready to go.
Giyuu: Alright.
The three of them started walking to the Giyuu's farm.
Giyuu: It's quite far from here so are your legs up for it.
Tanjiro wanted to say that his legs were sorer than ever, but what Giyuu said about him stuck with him. Tanjiro just gave Giyuu a smile and shook his head. They continued walking, the good news was that it was cloudy the whole day, so Nezuko didn't burn away! When they got to the estate, Nezuko and Tanjiro were amazed to see how big it was!
Tanjiro & Nezuko 💭: WOWWWWW!
Wisteria flowers were also hanging around and off some parts of the mansion. It wasn't as big as the Butterfly Mansion, but it was still bigger than Tanjiro's little shed. He still would prefer his home though!
Giyuu: What are you waiting for?
Tanjiro: N-Nothing! We're just in awe of how big it is!
Giyuu: It's fine just come in.
Tanjiro: Alright.
Giyuu: Make yourself some food than get some sleep. We're going to start training as soon as possible.
Tanjiro: Okay!
He made himself some food than followed Giyuu to his new room. It was much bigger than his room before; he also didn't need to share it.
Giyuu: For your sister, I'm going to send a letter to Urokodaki. I remember he had a special type of wood.
Tanjiro: Alright, thank you.
He put the blanket over himself and thought of everything that happened today...Tanjiro cried himself to sleep that night.
Tashio Secrets:
-In the next chapter it's going to be fast worded two years, so Tanjiro just passed the selection.
-So, basically he also met all the Hashira's.
-He knows who Kanao is aswell, but they've never talked before.
