Three years ago today you were broken up with, out of the blue. No explanation. Not even the slightest understanding, and definitely not any closure especially with the gift he left you with.
Curses.
"Love is the most twisted curse of them all."
"Love manifests the most distorted curses."
Something Satoru used to say all the time, almost as if he was warning you about how the two of you would end before it even happened.
Three years ago.
"What? I don't understand...we were just—"
"Nah I'm not really interested anymore. It takes a lot to stimulate my brain, you just...don't do it for me anymore. I'm more interested in someone else," he shrugged as he kept the blindfold over his eyes.
He never had the blindfold on when he spoke to you but as he was separating himself from you, he kept it on. He stood in front of you, hands in his pockets of the uniform from the academy he taught at. You saw no signs of remorse or regret on his face, he honestly looked like he just wanted to get it over with.
He was staring forward, looking over you. You were standing outside his academy, you came to bring him lunch for work because he forgot it. It wasn't really a lunch, it was a bunch of pastries and sweets that were his favorite since they stimulated him.
"Alright," you mumbled, looking down then down at your hands that were placed in front of you.
Your fingers were firmly fitted over the folds of the brown paper bag, trying not to cry or even get angry at him. You didn't know why, you didn't even know if you wanted to know why he broke up with you after being together for almost four years now. Knowing each other since high school even, you never expected him to do this.
You dropped the bag. Dropping the brown paper bag on the floor in front of him and turned to head toward the car that was in the parking lot behind you. Despite his eyes being covered, you could feel them watching you as you opened your car door back up and drove away.
You didn't cry, not one single tear was shed over the course of three years. You weren't an official sorcerer, you have been inactive since high school and you never actively participated in relations to the academy. Instead, what he left you with were just dead-end questions...unanswered for three years until about two months after you broke up.
He left you with a gift, two months after your breakup, this "gift" wasn't love. You found yourself sitting in front of Shoko, completely lost for answers. Thankfully, she gave you one
"Well, you definitely are. This is unfortunate..." she turned from her computer to look at you, sitting in the chair in her facility.
The room was bare and cold, not to mention the new you just received made the room feel even colder.
"What do I do? He and I aren't even together anymore...should I keep it or—?"
"That's a tough one but you really only have one choice," she replied. Furthering her gaze at the blue gloves she took off and tossed into the metal bin next to her.
"What's that?"
"Well. This is Satoru's child, correct? That means your child has the Gojo clan's genes....because of that we don't know what it will be capable of. If we try to remove the soon-to-be baby from your body, we'd be risking your health," she informed cautiously, lowering the mask from her face.
"Think of it like this, when Satoru was born the balance in the world shifted because of his abilities. Even though it is believed that there can only be one six eyes user until they pass, I believe that may not be true. There is a chance your baby will possess the same abilities as Satoru and if that's the case, this pregnancy will be extremely dangerous and even more dangerous to remove." She instructed firmly and her sudden seriousness made you feel queasier than you already were.
