There are two types of scientists among species in our galaxy.
The good and the bad.
The good one helps to advance progress. I have nothing against them. They come up with a better way to communicate, bringing the human species closer together. For example, the inventions of the radio, TV, the Internet, and many ways of transportation on Earth – that's what I call 'good science'.
Then there's the opposite: the bad kind. This type of scientist usually does something not for the common good but for their ego's sake.
Where I come from, we call them 'bugs in the system'. Glitches. Viruses. There's a limit to curiosity and when that limit is surpassed, bad things happen. Learning too much and too fast has negative consequences. Death or worse.
All system bugs bring disruptions. Sometimes, these disruptions are catastrophic.
The way to fight – and prevent – these disruptions is simple.
Kill the bug.
