𝐗𝐕𝐈𝐈𝐈: 𝐖𝐡𝐨 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮?

Once again, we were in a vehicle and completely blindfolded and bound. Except this time, I wasn't with a large group of people, I was only with Gi-hun and Sae-byeok. We all sat quietly and my hands trembled at the thought of seeing my parents again. I'd finally be home.

I heard the sound of something being poured into a glass, when someone spoke. "You should celebrate Gi-hun. That was quite the game there."

It was silent for a moment, and all we could hear was the sound of the engine and our breathing.

"Why?" Gi-hun croaked out. "Why did you do it? How could you?" He whispered, as Sae-byeok and I continued to stay silent.

"You bet on horses." The man spoke, and once again silence engulfed the vehicle. "It's the same here but... we bet on humans." I breathed in sharply as he continued to speak.

"You were our horses."

I pursed my lips. I didn't necessarily like being compared to animals and especially in this context, but I'd let it slide for now. "I didn't expect you to finish your race, Gi-hun." He concluded before the vehicle was once again silent. The tension was thick and uncomfortable, until Sae-byeok spoke.

"Who are you?" She whispered out, before the man replied. "It was a dream, just think of it like that." He sounded like a terrible therapist. How was someone supposed to forget or act as though 300 people dying in less than a week in front of their eyes was a dream?

"And it really wasn't bad for you three either." He finished, and I inwardly sneered. The bandages wrapped around my body suddenly became tight and restrictive, but he was right. Everything us three went through wasn't that bad.

"Who are you?" I heard Gi-hun whisper out, as the man let out a large sigh. It was silent for a moment, until Gi-hun repeated himself. He repeated himself again and again, it was like his own mantra. The all too familiar sound of the gas filling the vehicle was heard, as I blindly scooted closer to Sae-byeok, before I breathed it in.

I felt my head begin to grow dizzy, as I slumped  against Sae-byeok.

"Who... are you?"

We were thrown out of a vehicle again, and the feeling of blindly hitting the pavement felt oddly nostalgic. However this time we thankfully had our clothes on, as I realised our phones had somehow made it into our pockets, and I could hear people around us walking and talking, as rain fell on our bound bodies.

"Save yourself from Hell by making Jesus your lord!"

People walked by and no one bothered coming to our aid, walking around or over us, as we lie shivering under the rain. I heard something drop beside me, and I tensed. I felt someone slowly undo my blindfold, and sighed in relief expecting to see Gi-hun or Sae-byeok. However, my eyes widened in shock as I saw a random man staring down at me, equally as confused.

He quickly moved from my line of sight to help undo the others' blindfold. Both Sae-byeok and I shuffled into a sitting position, as Gi-hun stayed lying on the floor. "Are you okay?" I asked her, as she undid the bounds are my wrists with her teeth.

She nodded her head, softly smiling before I shook off my hands and undid hers. "How about you? Are you okay too?" She asked, as we sat near each other, undoing my ankles. I sent her a grin before winking, heading over to Gi-hun to help him with his wrists.
