Cooking With the Inazumans - Ayaka and Ei

A/N: Yes, the title is a reference to Cooking With the Valkyries.

"We must make it up to Y/N somehow..."

"Agreed, once I heal, I shall begin preparations for another cooking date."

"Ei...I think it's about time we taught you how to cook..."

You both stared in disbelief at the now empty glass of water that had charred marks all over it. Broken glass with cloudy smoke as Ei looked disappointed in herself for somehow finding a way to burn your water. An impressive feat if not done so by accident.

"I...apologize for burning your drink, Y/N," her ears turned a bit pink in shame, "I shall fetch a servant to bring you a new glass if you wish."

You shook your head, chuckling as your shogun showed embarrassment towards you. "No need, Raiden Ei, I'm not as parched anymore..." Carefully, you grasped at the shogun's hands, smiling when you caught her face fluttering with surprise, "Instead, I'd like to spend the day with you teaching you how to cook. As it takes a real impressive skill to burn water, miss shogun."

Ei flinched at your playful nickname for her and felt her ears grow a bit warmer. Looking away in hopes of you not catching her bashful reaction. "You really do not have to do that, Y/N. I assure you that my servants cook very healthy and delicious meals for me, so you not have to trouble yourself in teaching me how to cook."

Ei seemed confident in her answer, but in truth, she was just too scared to even try to learn how to cook. As the last time she tried to cook something, it engulfed the whole kitchen in flames. The stench of bitter acrylamide being the only thing you could smell for weeks before finally being doused in lavender air freshener. 

Yeah, she was banned from the kitchen after that.

In fact, Ei was so bad at cooking, that she once used a frying pan upside down, and was confused as to why the food kept falling off. An embarrassing situation that the shogun definitely did not want her crush to see.

Yeah...her crush. The beautiful and stunning Miss Y/N L/N. A woman that made Ei's knees go weak and make her do stupid things like accidentally bump into doorways when she was daydreaming about you. Yep, she was down bad for you.

And it was her crush on you that caused her to be so fearful of cooking in front of you. As she was worried you'd find her clumsiness in the kitchen distasteful or unattractive. Striking fear that the shogun never knew she could have.

"Oh please Ei?" you begged softly, giving her a pleading look, "I'd love to just spend the day with you cooking, no matter how inexperienced you may be!"

Your eyes made it almost impossible for the shogun to say no to you, feeling as if something were stabbing her heart with a million feathers to accept your kind offer.
