I tried to get comfortable in bed, as I kept on wincing whenever a bruise or a cut would have too much pressure on it. The cosmetics on my face had worn off by now, so I was glad it was dark; no one could see the bruises Chan-yeol gave to me.

I skimmed my tongue over my split lip, and smiled to myself when I realised it didn't hurt anymore. It must be healing well. As I was shuffling in bed, I loudly groaned as I elbowed my bruised rib. "Fuck." I whispered, as I kept my eyes tightly clench.

I heard Sae-byeok shuffle in the bed beside me. "What's wrong?" Her voice was tired and I felt a bit bad for possibly waking her up. My back was facing her as I stuffed my face deeper in my pillow.

"Don't worry, it's nothing." I closed my eyes, as I heard her huff in annoyance before getting back in bed. As I felt my eyes start to droop, a loud yell ripped me from my senses.

I groaned as 212 — or the lady who didn't get to name her child started yelling at the top of her lungs. She was banging on a small door that separated us from the masked people.

"Let me use the bathroom you jerks! I need to pee!" I let out a small giggle, as I felt Sae-byeok sit up. "What the fuck is she doing?" I heard her mumble underneath her breath.

I covered my mouth to muffle the laughter bubbling in my stomach as 212 threatened to pee on the floor.

"Y/n," Sae-byeok whispered, and I turned to her, completely forgetting about my face. I cocked a brow at her as she continued to stare at me, eyes wide. "What is it?"

She slowly reached her hand out to grabbed my chin, as she inspected my face. Her eyebrows creased together as she frowned, cursing under her breath. "We'll talk about this later. Stay in your bed and wait for me to come back." Her frowned deepened before she slid down the bunk bed, running towards 212 as she was about to be let out.

"I need to go too." I heard her say. 212 gasped before trying to push past her.

"So I have to beg and you can just come here and be able to use the bathroom?" She yelled,  as I continued to look down at what was happening. I kept what she said in mind, and promised that no matter what I wouldn't leave my bed.

What was she up to?

Sae-byeok shoved past the woman before storming out.

I sighed as I laid down, hiding under the covers as I fell asleep.

By the time I had woken up, it was time to eat. I sat up and stretch, turning to Sae-byeok who still hasn't gotten her food.

"Why didn't you wake me." I asked, as I slid down the bunk bed, her on my heels. We both stood in line, and I turned to face her taller figure.

"I didn't want to wake you up. Sleep can help your injuries." She brushed a thumb against one of my bruises, and for whatever stupid reason I felt myself blush. "How'd you get them?" Her poker face looked down at me as I shrugged my shoulders.

"It was nothing, I promise." I sent her a grin, before moving further down the line. My back was facing her when I felt her lean towards my ear. "Lying isn't going to help whoever did this to you." Her voice was empty and I felt her breath against the shell of my ear.
