Once I heard my parents snoring, I jumped out of bed. The people with the mask said that if we wanted to come back, they'd be in contact with us, and I'd spend all night trying to find a way back.
I tip toed through our small house, before slipping outside. I breathed in the smell of fresh air, as I ran my hand through my hair.
I wasn't sure if the same man from before was just going to show up out of no where like some kind of fairy god mother or not.
Though it was late, I could still see some people riding their bikes down the road, and others taking walks.
I slowly sat down on my front steps, as I continued to observe the passing people.
I wondered how many of them were also in debt like me, or how many were swimming in money.
I also wondered how many of them knew someone who had lost their lives during that stupid red light green light 'game.'
Something in my peripheral vision caught my eye, and I shuffled to see the same card as before, with the circle, triangle and square.
I quickly grabbed it and held it in front of my face as though I had just won the lottery. In a sense I did.
I quickly flipped it over before pulling out my phone and dialling the number, repeating the same process, but with a little less fear.

The van once again pulled up, and this time I didn't hesitate to head in. So far, no one was asleep yet, so I assumed they hadn't used that weird gas thing.
My eyes lit up as I peeled Sae-byeok at the back of the van, lifelessly staring out of the window. I quickly headed towards the empty seat next to her, hissing when I put a little too much pressure on my sore leg and sat down.
I was able to cover the bruises on my face with cosmetics my mom had stashed in her room, so I wasn't worried about showing my face around.
"I didn't expect you to come back." She said dryly, still looking out the window.
I turned to her, cocking a brow. "Who could say no to over 20 billion won?" I know for a fact I couldn't, and the several people in the van who decided to come back even after all they had seen and endured.
"It's dangerous you know?" This time she did look at me, and I'd be lying if I said my heart didn't flutter. Her tone held a bit of worry, and I wasn't sure if it was for me, or for the fact that someone else was just as eager to win.
"Then why are you here?"
I shot her a smile, before my eyes widened. They were filling the van with gas again. Since this time I knew what to expect I tried to hold my breath, as panic started to bubble in me.
But I could only hold it for so long as I felt my head fall on Sae-byeok's shoulder.
"Sleep," I heard someone say as my breathing started to even out. "I'll keep you safe."
