The minute we had made it to the "main room", which I had called it, all hell broke lose.

Everyones face was distraught and terrified, rightfully so.

I silently walked to an empty bed, before sitting on it, placing my head between my knees; suddenly feeling nauseous due to flashbacks of what happened earlier.

Everything else blocked out, and all I could hear were my hollow breaths as my hair acted as a curtain for my face.

I felt a hand silently rub against my back, and I didn't even need to lift up my head to know who it was.

Sae-byeok continued to rub my back, bever uttering a word, before moving to my hair and weaving her fingers through it. I sighed in content.

As I felt my eyes begin to droop, I quickly sat up.

"You little shit!"

I groaned before leaning my forehead against Sae-byeok's shoulder, frowning as Mr. Casino stomped towards me from across the room.

"Who is that?" She asked and I shrugged my shoulders. "All I know is that I owe him 6 million won, and he's out to kill me."

I pushed my head off of her shoulder before climbing up one of the beds ladders. I hopped from bed to bed, trying to keep as much distance as possible between Mr. Casino and I.

I could hear Sae-byeok behind me. "6 million won? What'd you do to owe that much." Her voice drilled, and I quickly looked back sending her a smile, nearly completely falling off of the high bunk bed while doing so.

Mr. Casino continued to yell and throw profanities, and everyone started to stare. I felt a bit nervous facing their gaze but shook it off. I got tired of hopping and dropped on a bed when I realised he was no longer chasing after me.

Eventually the masked people filed into the room. I tensed slightly, and Sae-byeok must have noticed, as she slightly scooted closer to me for comfort.

They didn't wait in dropping the bomb and informing us of how many people had passed during these 'games'.

"201 left... out of 456." I harshly rubbed my eyes as I let out a large breath.

There was nothing more that I wanted than to go home and be able to give my parents the blessing of money and luxury.

But I also didn't want to die.

I clasped my shaking hands together, before I felt Sae-byeok curl her hand around mine. As usual, she still had her poker face on, looking ahead at the masked people.

Suddenly, a lady slid to the ground, and began to beg on her knees, wailing about a child she had yet to properly name. "Please, stop the game!" I gasped as I watch the commotion below me, as more and more people dropped to their knees, begging for the game to be stopped.

"You are aware that lack of compliance to participate in the games means elimination." A deep voice droned out, before a man with glasses stood up.
