"You need to eat," Michael said as he pushed a tray of spaghetti in front of me.

I shook my head no.

"Do you want to eat something else?" He asked.

"I want you to leave," I said. I looked straight ahead rather than at his face. I felt horrible after the brutal side of him that I had seen.

He walked up to the chair that I was sitting in and knelt down in front of me, placing both hands on my knees.

"Emelia, I only meant to protect you," he whispered. His eyes were watery. I couldn't believe that the great Alpha Titus was about to cry in front of me.

And it hurt me more than it hurt him.

"I told you not to kill him," I mumbled, "I told you not to,"

"I didn't want to lose you," he murmured, "all I saw was someone attacking you and I lost it. I was losing it already because I wasn't near you."

"And who's fault was that?"

He looked up at me just as his eyes turned black. He stood up and took two steps back.

"You slept with someone," he said through clenched teeth.

"Before I met you!"

"The thought of it makes me so angry that I want to find that guy and murder him so brutally that his body would be in shreds!"

"And that's exactly what I don't want!" I yelled angrily, "Did you never sleep with a girl before me? I know you're more hot tempered than regular wolves but you can't let it control you!"

"Do you want me to watch while someone does something to you?!"

"No! But I wouldn't want you to kill the guy!"

"Fuck Max! He deserved every bit of it!"

I glared at him in disbelief. Titus was unbelievable. I began to run upstairs and he started following me, calling out my name as he climbed up the steps.

But he was faster. And within seconds he had his arms tied tightly around my waist.

"Let me go!" I yelled while squirming in his tight hold.

"I love you, Emelia," he said as his arms tightened.

"You're crazy!" I yelled as my eyes started to well up in tears.

"I am. I'm the crazy guy who loves you!"

"Let go!" I screamed, "You're hurting me!"

"And you aren't hurting me? For the past two weeks I've felt nothing but this intense pain just gnawing at me!"

"If you'd stayed with me then Max could not have taken me!"

Michael let go of me instantly.

"Em, I promised that I would never leave you alone again and I mean it."

"I don't care about that. I just want you to be less brutal. I keep seeing this monster in you when all I want is that guy who sang and played the guitar and dressed up as a fairy as a joke."

"Who told you all that?" Michael asked. His eyes were wide with shock.

"It doesn't matter,"

"I haven't been that guy for a long time, Emelia," he whispered, "I'm not that guy. I'm an Esprit wolf. I'm an Alpha and I have responsibilities. And at this moment, I'm so scared because a war is around the corner and they'll target you and I cannot lose you."

I brushed my thumb against his cheek and he visibly calmed.

"You might not lose me because of them," I whispered, "you might lose me because of that Esprit wolf inside you."

Michael looked dumbfounded. I turned around and walked into our room. I needed a break from everything.

I wished I could go back to being a child who's biggest problem was being tormented by her big brother. Now that big brother was lost. And everything was lost.

I heard the door squeak as someone closed it. I opened my eyes and rubbed them. I had fallen asleep at some point.

Michael was standing by the door in a pink dress with silver wings. He had a guitar in one hand. I almost laughed.

"What are you doing?" I grinned.

"Trying to be the guy I lost," he mumbled.

He picked up his guitar and strum. The tune he played was of the rock genre. I knew because it sounded so familiar.

Oh, little did she know,
Couldn't let me go,
Already a part of her.

So, often do I meet,
People in between,
That just can't get a hold of it,

So we'll just sing it for them,
Ah ahh,
Yeah, we'll just sing it for them,
Till they get a better friend,
Yeah, we'll just sing it for them,
Ah ah
Till they get a better friend.

It's the greatest thing that's yet to have happened,
Imagine knowing me,
It's the greatest thing you'd ever imagine,
And you'll never know until you're there.

"Aren't you self obsessed!" I laughed as Michael put down his guitar and jumped onto the bed beside me.

"Isn't it the greatest thing though?"

"It's the best," I grinned.

He tore off his own fairy wings and tossed them aside. Then he tore off the pink dress, revealing a pair of black boxers underneath.

"That dress was so uncomfortable," he laughed, "I don't know how you girls do it."

"It suited you though," I grinned as Michael scooted closer to me. He grinned as he gazed at me. Then he pressed his lips against mine and entangled his hands in my hair.

I parted my lips to let him in. Michael slid his hands downward and tore off my shirt with ease.

"Em," he whispered, "I love you,"

"I love you too," I murmured as I cupped his face in my hands.

"I mean it," he whispered, "You're so amazing. And I can't take back what I've done but I can't lose you either. I need you by my side because things are going to get harder, okay?"

"You've got me," I murmured, "forever and always,"

He pressed his lips against mine but he quickly pulled away. His face was unreadable.

"Is everything okay?" I asked.

"It's Liam," he said, "Austin says he's here and he has an enver who's trying to manipulate all our wolves."

I gulped.

Jayden.
