Change.
A word y/n was prone to. Something she hated. Change was not good. Change meant that you're doing something wrong in life. Why need to change when you're doing everything in your power to be perfect? Change isn't needed.
Yet that was the exact thing you were going through. Sorry? You were saying that more often than usual these days. Those two syllables left a bitter taste in your mouth the moment they left your lips. Why say that? Especially to Tsukishima.
You bit the inside of your cheek. Awaiting a response from Tsukishima. "No, I'm sorry. That was out of line." He said, averting eye contact.
You raised your brows, knowing Tsukishima for a couple of days he didn't seem like the type to apologize for much.
The girl shook her head, a grin on her lips. "Enough with this. Is there something wrong with your glasses?" You chuckled, reaching for the boy's glasses.
He raised a brow, letting you take them nonetheless. Putting them on, you looked up at him smiling, a toothy grin plastered on. A breathy laugh came out of his mouth, watching the glasses slide off of your nose.
"Glasses aren't your thing."
He said, leaning in closer, pushing them back on the bridge of your nose with his finger. He then turned, opening the microwave which was beeping.
You hadn't even noticed, you had been caught up in the moment. "Foods ready." He said, no expression on his face. You simply nodded, returning your gaze to the face of the island.
Tsukishima sighed, his vision was blurry and he burned himself on the lid. He held the two cups, and placed them both on the island.
He looked over at you, hunched over, deep in thought.
"Don't think too hard, it doesn't suit you." He flicked your forehead. You jolted at the touch, narrowing your eyes.
"Take your glasses, prick."
You slid them off, handing them to him. He reached out, grabbing them and putting them on.
After a while, the two ate their snacks and got back to work. Tsukishima noticed how dark it had gotten outside, the sun was near fully set. "Are you finished with the essay?" You asked annoyed.
You had put on Princess and the Frog an hour ago, and refused to do any of the essay work. Your only rebuttal was that "I did the paper mache."
"Maybe if I had some extra hands, it wouldn't take as long." He glared, side-eyeing you lying down.
Sitting up, you sighed, sliding closer to the boy. You leaned closer, examining his work. He leaned back, having felt embarrassingly close to you. "Looks fine." You shrugged, laying back down in the same position as before.
