"I can't believe you're leaving us." Danielle rested her head on my shoulder, hugging me. She hadn't left my side all night.
"Will you come to visit at all?" Hayden asked.
"Definitely," I smiled. "You guys are my spring break destination. Just don't forget about me the week after I leave."
He laughed but it was half-hearted. They were all genuinely sad to see me go. "That's impossible
"Hey! Everybody! Gather around!" Andrew stood on top of a picnic table and called out. Everyone flocked around the table.
"So, we're going to play a little game; twin trivia! You guys make teams of two and I'm going to ask you questions about the twins, whoever scores the most points wins."
Everyone chattered excitedly. There weren't many people here, it was only our close friends, but there were enough people to play. Kinsley and Danielle partnered, Hayden and Elliot, Lizzie and Cora. Mason didn't invite a whole lot of people. He has a lot of friends, but none that he cared enough about to want at his goodbye party. His closest friends were Lincoln (of course) and James and Gavin from swim, so the three partnered up.
"Alright, first question," Andrew stood at the end of the table, reading from a clipboard of questions Ethan and I had given him. Ethan and I sat at the end of the table, prepared to watch our friends struggle with the questions we came up with. "Which twin likes pineapple on pizza, and which twin hates it?"
All the teams had a small dry-erase board to write their answers on. Lizzie wrote on hers immediately while everyone else thought for a moment.
Andrew told them to turn their boards around after 30 seconds. Everyone got it right. I loved pineapple on pizza and Ethan thought it was vile.
"I've said it thousands of times and I'll say it again, pineapple does not belong on pizza! It's fucking disgusting." He crinkled his nose at the thought of it.
"It's exotic." I corrected.
"Disgusting." He insisted.
Andrew rolled his eyes then read the next question. "What is Charlie's favorite band?"
Lincoln grinned and whispered to James and Gavin, then wrote his answer down on his board. I knew Lincoln knew the answer--he and I have the same taste in music. Everyone flipped their boards around.
Lincoln wrote, Arctic Monkeys
Danielle wrote, Nirvana?
Hayden wrote, AM
LIzzie wrote, Arctic Monkeys
"Danielle!" I complained. "You guys should know this."
Kinsley elbowed her. "I told you we were wrong."
"How many girlfriends has Ethan had in high school?" Andrew asked the next question. Gods, I didn't even know the answer to that. He's gone through so many over the years.
The answers were: 17, 26, 8, 43
Ethan busted out laughing. "Lizzie, you actually think I've dated 43 girls in three years!?"
She shrugged with a smile on her face.
"I swear you've dated every girl on the track team." Cora said. "And there's like twenty of us."
He shook his head, "Hayden and Elliot were closest. I've dated 12."
"Only twelve?!" Lincoln gaped.
Ethan nodded with a laugh. "I'm not that much of a manhoe."
