"OMG! He said that?!"

You regret ever telling her what happened at the office. However, knowing your pink friend has a nose that can smell tea from a mile away, there's no way out for you. 

"Ugh, yes." You groaned before taking a bite of your dinner.

Cue the fangirling squeal from Mina. You winced despite always hearing it whenever she gets excited over anything.

"I swear, I never expected Todoroki-kun to actually be such a flirt!" Mina sighed dreamily. You nodded vigorously but not in excitement. "I know! I mean, he barely knew me! He's known to be indifferent! I-I . . ." You couldn't process this side of the famous dual-quirk pro hero.

Mina smiled cheekily at you. "Why are you complaining? You're a fan of him anyway. He's the Todoroki Shoto, any woman would kill to be in your position."

You glared and pouted at her before taking another bite from your plate. "W-Well, I didn't asked to be! I know he's . . . so . . .", you drawled, almost daydreaming but snapped back to reality. "But it's different! I may be a fan but having him as my boss isn't what I hoped! I'm fine just admiring him from afar."

"Well," Mina drawled, "He's definitely into you. Why else would he kiss you; if you've forgotten? It's Todoroki-kun! He didn't even bat an eyelash to any girls back in UA."

You grumbled, "Oh gee, how could I ever? So embarrassing! I wonder if my lips were crusty that night." Your fingers subconsciously moved to touch your lips.

"Chill out, babe!" Mina reached across to grab both of your shoulders. "I know it would seem wrong but why don't you just go along with it and see how it goes?" She suggested. 

You wore a doubtful expression as you still think about how your encounter with him progressed into something not normal. It seemed like some kind of fairytale from a novel. You can't help but get nervous over the whole thing. 

Your pink-haired friend sensed your anxiety levels rising so, she toned down her excitement and expressed her sincerity to you. "Look, Y/N," she began, "I know Todoroki-kun will take care of you regardless as a person. I don't know his reasoning but, I do know that he's a responsible guy."

Slight relief came over you since you do trust Mina a lot, but she could sense you needed a little confidence boost.

Mina smiled. "(y/n), you're the most admirable, hardworking and smartest best friend I know. I have faith that you'll get through in whatever you do and face."

You smiled adoringly at your friend. "Thanks, Mina. I think I could work well with him tomorrow."

Speak of the devil and the phone notifications go off.

Mina caught a glimpse of the notification but only saw a phone number on display. "Who's that?"

You reached to pick it up but dropped it as soon as you read the message. "Eep!" You shrieked.
