I was at school looking outside the window. The autumn leaves, cool breeze, birds chirping. The skyline was blue, the clouds fluffy as cotton balls.
"Destiny?" I heard someone murmur my name.
"Destiny!" Came the voice again.
Suddenly I heard a thwack right by my ear. I jumped up and looked up to see Mrs. Grey, with her yardstick, looking at me with a scowl again.
"Yes?" I asked innocently.
"Don't play dumb with me Destiny. What's the answer?!" She seethed, pointing to the board.
I looked at the board which had a complex pre calculus problem on it. I glanced at it, then replied,
"There is no answer". She frowned. "Yes.. Actually that's correct." She glared at me.
I smirked. Right then the school bell rang. Yes! I got up with my stuff and walked out the door, where my best friend Emily was waiting for me. when she saw me she snickered.
"What?" I asked with a frown.
"I saw the entire thing. You really pissed off Mrs. Grey."
"I do that to all of my teachers." I replied smugly.
"So did you hear about the new kid?!" Emily asked excited.
"Yeah. His name is Brian Parker." She replied dreamy.
I chuckled and shook my head.
"Wow Emily, already dreaming of the marriage?" I joked. She rolled her eyes and gently shoved me. We walked to the busses and got on ours.
Now I guess, would be the ideal time to introduce myself, and all that crap. So...
My name is Destiny McReal. Stupid name right? I really wished I could get it changed. Anywho, I'm a Junior in high school.cand I'm not your average student. I'm the smartest in the school. 4.9 GPA. I know it sounds impossible, but it's true. I could actually graduate this year. But I don't want to.
Brian's Pov that afternoon
It was the last class of the day, my first day and I had managed to piss off all my teachers, right now I was siting in Chemistry, my legs on the chair in front of me, with sunglasses on.
Mr. Dunn, the teacher tried to threaten me, but it didn't work, he told me to get my legs off and sunglasses off but I refused. I looked out the window thinking.
"Mr. Parker!" I looked at Mr. Dunn with a smug smirk.
"What's the chemical formula for Acetate?!" He asked.
"C2H4O2. I replied looking at him.
He sighed and shook his head and went back to teaching. I chuckled to myself and then the bell rang.
"Study for the test Tuesday!" Mr. Dunn yelled as everyone left, including me.
I walked out in parking lot to see kids pouring out of school, when something caught my eye. It was a sweet melodic voice. I looked to see where it came from and saw a girl with her friend. The girl was stunning. She had a Carmel like tan. Her hair was wavy like ripples in the ocean, and was light blonde. Kind of like the sun. Her eyes were sea blue green with specks of brown. I scoffed and shook it off.
"Too soon." I thought bitterly to myself.
