Bringing The Past Up

Start from the beginning

"Becca please, whatever it is that you're hiding away you can tell me." I whispered quietly looking at her. She sighed and moved my hands off her face and took them into her hands, resting them on her lap.

"My parents are royals, I ran away when I was fourteen... t-they treated me like dirt. I always tried to do everything high standard so they would at least appreciate it or say 'well done' but they never did. My older sister Chanae would always get treated better and anyone could tell that she was all that mattered as she was a white wolf. I was a mistake... I weren't planned, I-I was a mistake Daniel. They didn't want me and I could see that by the way they treated me. I didn't want to be treated like that anymore so I ran away, it was the easiest choice but do you want to know what the best thing was?" She asked quietly her voice full of pain. I pulled her closer to me so her head rested on my chest while I ran my hands through her hair soothingly.

"W-what's that?" I hesitantly asked, scared of her answer.

"Not once have they come looking for me which just shows how relieved they are to not have me around." She whispered into my chest. My jaw clenched as I heard the amount of sadness in her voice making my heart hurt; knowing that when she is sad she sleeps, so I had to get answers out of her quickly.

"After all these years why haven't you told me Becca? Why?" I asked her quickly.

"I didn't want to remember," was all she said before slowly drifting away into a peaceful sleep. I held her in my arms for a while before slowly getting up and taking her upstairs. Placing her gently on the bed I got under the covers with her and kissed her forehead softly.

"You are my princess," I whispered before wrapping my arm around her waist and soon joining her.

Chloe's POV

Pushing my food around the plate my stomach turned as I took in the bacon resting there beside the eggs and toast. I placed my fork down and pushed the plate away, making Trey look up from his phone.

"Don't you like it?" He asked quietly almost disappointed. A sudden pang of guilt hit my chest, he'd woken up early this morning to make me breakfast and here I was pushing it away while looking at it in distaste.

"No, of course I like it! I'm just not hungry." I told him honestly.

"Babe since you and your dad stopped speaking you haven't been eating. I've let you mope around, get angry at me but I will not let you get away with something that can affect your health. You have got to start eating Chloe. I know with everything that's been going on eating is probably the last thing on your mind right now but you need it to keep your energy up, ok?" He said seriously. I sighed and nodded knowing that he was right.

"I'm sorry," I whispered.

"It's alright babe, just please start eating. Your health and well-being mean so much to me." He said while leaning over the table and kissing my cheek. I blushed slightly and squatted him away making him chuckle.

"I love you," I told him.

"I love you too," I smiled; hearing those words still gave me butterflies... they even made me forget all my problems for a while. Looking back down I picked up a piece of toast, letting out a small laugh as I heard his growl of victory.

"Chloe?" I looked up just as I put the last piece of bacon in my mouth smiling happily. It was so good!

"How did you become a white wolf? I mean don't your parents have to be royal? Or at least one of them?" He asked curiously. I frowned deep in thought, I didn't know that.

"I honestly don't know," I mumbled confused.

"You don't know whether one of your parents are a royal?" He asked with a smirk. I shook my head and looked at him, the frown still painted on my face.

"No, I really don't..." Looks like I weren't the only one keeping secrets.
