04. what's your idea?
━━━━━━━━━━━━ESTELLA SMILED AS Killer Queen, one of her favorite songs, started playing on the radio in Ziggy's cabin, and she started humming along.
Ziggy looked majorly depressed after her argument with Cindy, and Estella wanted to cheer her up.
The brunette grabbed the redheads arms, pulling her up off the chair she was sulking on, and grabbing her waist, forcing her to dance a bit.
"Caviar and cigarettes," Estella sang along, "Well-versed in etiquette, extraordinarily nice," she held her hand up by Ziggy's mouth, making a fake microphone, which the girl rolled her eyes at, even though she had a smile on her face.
"She's a killer queen." Ziggy finished the lyric, and Estella smiled at her, and looked into her eyes, before glancing down at her lips, so quickly you might not have noticed, but Ziggy did.
Estella awkwardly coughed, and pulled herself back, before going to sit on Ziggy's bed, and distract herself with the paint they had been planning to use on Sheila.
Ziggy came over to the bed too, and smiled lightly at Estella, who smiled back.
"So," Ziggy piped up, trying to distract herself from the butterflies in her stomach, and failing miserably, "what's next, Chief?"
Estella laughed at the nickname, before pointing to the red paint, "so we need to pour that into the bucket, first things first."
"Bossy. I like it." Ziggy smirked, and then mentally facepalmed when she realized what she had said, not even intending to say that aloud.
"Fucking bottom." Estella laughed, and Ziggy glared at her, giving her the middle finger, before starting to pour the red paint into the bucket, like Estella had instructed.
Somebody then started knocking on the door, and Ziggy, assuming it was her sister, whispered, "Please, I cannot talk to Cindy right now." and then looked at Estella, an almost pleading look on her face, and Estella took that as a sign to go talk to the older Berman herself.
"She's out, sorry, Cindy." Estella called, not bothering to open the door, knowing it would then just show Cindy that Ziggy indeed, was there.
"It's me. It's Nick." A male voice called back, and Estellas face turned upset, a feeling of hatred rushing over her.
"Then she's really not out." Estella snapped harshly, trying to get the boy to leave, but he instead just opened the door, calling through her bluff.
"Whoa." Nick Goode said when he saw all the spray painted words on the wall, and Estella glared at him, mocking him behind his back, before sitting on the bed next to Ziggy, crossing her arms over her chest, a still pissed look on her face.
Nobody actually knew about Nick Goode and Estella Harte's history, and Estella was determined to keep it that way.
The two had hated each other because of their family rivalry, and their competition to be Sunnyvale's golden kid, but after a drunken game of spin the bottle, and Estella trying to hide her sexuality from the whole world, they began to date.
Estella started to realize that Nick wasn't as horrible as he seemed, and thinking they could be friends, she told him that she liked girls, same as him, which resulted in him calling her a fag and telling her parents, who just believed he was making rumors up, out of jealously.
That lead to Estellas ultimate hatred for the Goode family, any ounce of respect she had previously had for them then vanished, knowing that they raised Nick to be like that.
"I like what you've done with the place," Nick kind of joked, bringing Estella out of her thoughts, and back to reality.
"This wasn't me." Ziggy then responded, as she mixed the paint together in the bucket.
"I'm shocked." Nick said apathetically, before reading something off the wall, "Ziggy is a witch bitch.' 'Ziggy sucks cocks in hell.' Jeez."
"You probably wish she would suck your cock." Estella murmured rudely under her breath, causing Ziggy to stifle a laugh, but Nick remained unbothered, not having heard the comment.
"Sheila?" Nick questioned the redhead, causing both girls to roll their eyes in unison, because how could somebody think it wouldn't have been Sheila?
"Colonel Mustard." Ziggy said sarcastically, and Estella nodded, before adding on, "in the cabin with the spray paint." which made Ziggy want to smile.
"Looks like blood." Nick pointed out, as he looked at the bucket full of red paint, that Ziggy was stirring once again.
"Yeah. I didn't have a pig, so..." Ziggy responded, not even bothering to look up at Nick, which Estella mentally praised her for.
"Carrie. Cool."
Another reason Nick and Estella had previously gotten along so well was because despite them being Sunnyvale's golden children, they both hated happy, fake bullshit, and had a love for horror, and all sorts of fucked up things like that.
Estella hated that he had that in common with Ziggy.
"You've read Carrie?" Ziggy questioned, looking up now, obviously slightly intrigued, and while Estella was glaring at Nick, the boy was smiling at the redhead.
"Yeah." He responded, "Second favorite after Salem's Lot." Bullshit. Nick never read Salem's lot, it was Estellas favorite book, and she basically just gave him a cliffs note explanation, because he said it sounded too boring to read.
"Still, I dunno," Nick said, "paint seems a little pedestrian." Estella glared at the boy.
"What should we do?" The brunette snapped, "grab one of my used tampons?" Estella had lost all patience with the boy, which made Ziggy chuckle lightly, and Nick stare at her uncomfortably.
"Do you have a better idea?" Ziggy questioned, not expecting an answer to her obviously sarcastic question, but Nick responded, with a simple, "Maybe."
"Shouldn't you be like turning us in or something, golden boy?" Estella questioned, which Nick rolled his eyes at.
"Well, I should be supervising Color War," Nick spoke, aiming the sentence at Ziggy, "but, noticed you were MIA and-"
"So you decided to stalk me." Ziggy said to the boy, who smiled lightly.
"Check in on you." He corrected, and Estella rolled her eyes for the thousandth goddamned time, "Clearly you don't need my assistance. All good. Go ahead. Carrie on."
Estella let out a breath when Nick finally started walking towards the door, planning on leaving the cabin, when Ziggy spoke up.
"What's your idea?"
The Goode boy turned around, a smile on his face as he held up a set of keys, "Science & Nature."
