Ch. 19 First Date

The way back to the dorms was honestly refreshing. We talked more, about little things and bonding a bit more. Neither of us were upset about this not working out, but it did help in the way of making us closer friends. We got to spend some time together and talk about things that were bothering us. It was nice. I'm glad we did this.
We were sitting on the covered benches of a train station, waiting for the next one to arrive.
"Some of the shit Satoru says infuriates me at times. I mean you guys used to bicker all the time, how the hell did you end up liking him?" Suguru took every chance he had to tease me about my crush on Satoru.
"Oh, he still says some dumb shit to me too. I just lecture him. Of course, that never works. He doesn't listen." I said, crossing my legs.
"He listens to you the most out of everyone." Suguru corrected.
"Really?"
"Yup. I remember one time he came to my room and started to complain because you had yelled at him about being rude or something. He sat on the floor like a god damn puppy until I told him that you weren't mad at him but just telling him to watch his words. And then he immediately went back to your room." He pointed out.
"Wait was it when he told Gakuganji that he looked like he was going to keel over any minute?"
"That is exactly when."
"He came back and just started saying how it was true!" I groaned. Suguru laughed.
"I don't think anyone can handle Satoru as well as you do."
"I can barely handle him." I stated. Suguru leaned back against the station seat.
"You should talk to him."
"Hm?"
"Satoru. You should talk to him when we get back."
"Oh," him mentioning Satoru reminded me of the unread messages that Satoru left me. "Hold on," I said as I took out my phone. The 12 messages were now 16.
