Chapter Three _Ruined Meeting_
"Prince Nicolai, guest will be here soon. Please change into some appropriate attire." My Butler says as emotionless as ever.
"They're Nekos, this is appropriate enough for them." I say with boredom clear in my voice while picking at one of my pajama buttons.
"If you get chastised later, please remind me to say 'I told you so'."
"No problem. I won't even be there to greet them, so I can't be chastised for wearing inappropriate attire." My Butler sighs in frustration before exiting the room.
Annet will be here soon to bother me in just the same way. I sigh out loud before standing up and walking to my wardrobe.
"Prince Nicolai!" The shrill voice of Annet - my tutor for everything - rings from the hallway before she comes barging in.
"Yes, Annet?" I ask innocently.
"You're dressed." She says as her shoulders relax. "Come, let's get ready to greet the guests." She says and shoos me out of my own room.
I scowl in annoyance once she can't see my face before having to smile again. Annet is scary when she's angry. I learned the hard way not to mess with her.
"I know you were scowling Nicolai." She sings menacingly. "What did I say about that?"
"That if I kept scowling my face would freeze up like that permanently." I mumble and slump.
"Good, now stand straight and don't mumble."
"Yes, Annet."
"You have a lot to learn." Annet sighs under her breath.
"You'll teach me all I need to learn."
"You need more than just words to go by. You need experience Nicolai. You need your mate most of all." Annet takes my hands in hers and looks me in the eyes, pleading with me to understand her reasoning.
"I don't need a mate. I've managed fine these twenty years mateless." I beg her to understand, but she only sighs again and releases my hands.
"The guests are here. Be sure to stand tall and sound confident. I'll be right behind you."
Before the guests could even exit the car, I am mind linked by the head of the gaurds.
Prince, rogues have been scented on the east side of the territory. They have already crossed into our territory, but haven't been spotted yet.
I'll be there in a moment. Try to find them.
"Annet rogues have crossed into the territory. I'm going to go and try to help track them down." I shift and run out of the room before she can respond.
A/N - I called this chapter "Ruined Meeting" since rogues ended up ruining them meeting. So yeah. Also, I updated TWICE IN A WEEK!! I'm so proud. Are you proud? Haha.
