"You need a pack. We need an alpha," Aiden told Scott.
"Yeah, absolutely not. That's hilarious though," Stiles told them.
"Stiles," Ayla warned.
"You came to us for help. We helped," Ethan reminded the alpha.
"You beat his face into a bloody pulp. That's not helping. In my opinion, that's actually counterproductive," Stiles told him.
"Why would I say yes?" Scott asked them.
"We'd add strength. We'd make you more powerful. There's no reason to say no," Aidan explained.
Ayla gave a light scoff, but said nothing.
"I can think of one," Isaac informed the twins as he joined the group. "Like the two of you holding Derek's claws while Kali impaled Boyd. In fact, I don't know why we're not impaling them right now."
Aidan let his eyes turn blue and his teeth form into fangs. "You want to try?" he asked.
The two of them stepped toward each other. Scott pulled Isaac back, just as Ayla pulled Aidan back. Both Isaac and Aidan turned to the two werewolves who had held them back, sending them looks. But both backed down. Scott frowned as he noticed the way the omega seemed to be showing respect for the Hale. He had only ever seen Ethan settle Aidan's temper. He chose not to bring it up, though.
"Sorry, but they don't trust you. And neither do I," the alpha told the two omegas. He then headed inside, his pack following.
"You want to explain that?" Scott asked, glancing at Ayla as they walked.
"They showed up at my house this morning wanting to be part of the pack," she told him.
"Why would they go to you?" Scott wondered.
Ayla shrugged. "Because I understand wanting a second chance," she guessed.
Scott sent her a look. "You're not actually saying you think I should let them in the pack, are you?" he questioned.
The she-wolf frowned. "In case you're forgetting, they're not the only people willing to kill around here," she reminded.
"You never killed anyone," Scott pointed out.
"No, but I was willing to work with Peter and stab you in the back to avenge my family," she told him.
"You still wouldn't have killed anyone," Scott said.
Ayla smiled slightly. "No, you wouldn't have ever killed anyone," she corrected. Scott frowned at her. "There's a reason why you became alpha, and not me. And it wasn't because one of us was more prepared for the responsibility." She walked away from him and he watched her go.
Ayla quickly made her way down the hall, not really wanting to discuss any of it. She spotted Piper at her locker and walked over to her. "How's my child?" Piper wondered.
"Hiding under my bed because he hates me," Ayla informed her.
"Were you mean to him?" Piper asked, sending her a look.
