Nighttime Snack - Mermitsta x Reader short (Fluff)

It was the middle of the night when you woke up from hunger, your stomach aching and grumbling ever so slightly as you recalled that you hadn't had much for dinner. Last night's main course was fish, and you couldn't stand the taste of fish. Mermista offered to cook you something else, or have the kitchen staff do so, but you declined saying you weren't that hungry anyway.
Mermista's arm was wrapped around you, both of you were still cuddled close. You carefully turn your body and lift her hand off of your torso. She let out a small groan and you sat still on the edge of the bed until you were sure that she was still sound asleep. You carefully slide off the bed and make your way to the kitchen. You were sure there was some leftover pizza in the fridge from the night before. You walk down the corridor and finally make it to the door, slowly and carefully opening it wide enough to slip through. Once you were inside, you turn to close the door as quietly as you could as to not wake anyone up. You make your way to the fridge and open it, looking to see if the pizza was still there. You finally see it, take a few pieces, and put them on a plate before setting them in the microwave. You set the microwave to the reheat setting and press start. As the pizza warms up you stand there in the darkness. Time passes slowly as you wait and you begin to zone out a bit, still tired from having woken in the middle of the night. As your eyes begin to close ever so slightly you feel a pair of arms snake around your waist and a head nuzzle into your neck. Too tired to think much of it, you lean your head against the one nuzzled into you. "Why'd you leave me?" You hear Mermista's sleepy voice ask with the slightest hint of exhausted wining. You realize that your sudden absence from cuddling must have woken her up. "I'm sorry love, I was just hungry." You replied as the microwave went off indicating your pizza was finished reheating. You rub her arms gently before taking your pizza out of the microwave. You set it on the counter behind you and hold onto her arms with one hand, gently ribbing your thumb back and forth while eating with the other hand. You hear a light pouty groan come from Mermista as she moves her head onto your shoulder. You move the pizza closer to her offering her a bite and she happily leans into you to take one. The two of you share the pizza and once you finish it you rinse off your dish and put it in the sink. Mermista wraps her arm around you and pulls you into her as you make your way out of the kitchen. You both walk down the hall and back into her room. She lets you get into bed first then climbs in after you pulling the covers over the both of you. She pulls you in close with her arm around you and you nuzzle into her as her warmth engulfs you and lulls you to sleep.
