Percy was a few thousand miles away from Cloudcroft, headed straight for carthage, he figured that he wanted to settle near Rome, one of superpowers of Ancient History, and wait out his time before returning to the modern ages,
If he could remember from Yancy academy's history classes, caligula would rule after tiberius had died and following the assassination of caligulia, the second triumvirate was to be formed.
Percy frowned at the thought of Caligula, History described as a bloody thirsty conqueror who was successful in conquering a huge portion of the world before being assassinated by Cassius.
Percy pushed his thoughts to one side, tilting his head forward, slightly. Thankfully, he retained his water powers and swam at miles per hour; in only a few days, Percy had made significant progress from Greece to Carthage.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Percy had spotted land ahead.
He pushed his legs and arms together and thrusted forward. In a burst of speed, Percy sprang out of the water, gracefully in the air before falling down on the ground with an oomph.
"Ow!" Percy exclaimed, he had landed on a peninsula off Carthage, a tiny peaceful island, barely connected to the mainland.
Percy decided that he would be better off away from civilization, in order not to attract any monsters and chaos.
Percy went around the island for a while, studying it before beginning his adventure.
He pulled out his sword and looked for the tree with the toughest looking wood before hacking away, chipping at the wood.
Effective? No, it basically runs useless.
Sadly, the son of Poseidon had no axe, only his trusty sword, Riptide.
In a few hours time he had an extremely shabby looking shack that looked like it would shatter with the tiniest touch.
"Back to civilization, it is," Percy muttered under his breath, frowning at his personal incompetence of thinking he could live like a survivalist.
A loud splashing sound cut off Percy's thoughts, he whipped his head round, Riptide already in hand just in case it was a monster or a harmless sea nymph.
What Percy saw next, shocked him.
The ground trembled violently, toppling Percy's shack as an armada of ships coursed through the water, manned by a total of around 20,000 men, this was Lepidus' troops after being kicked out of the second triumvirate.
"Land!" A soldier shouted, the ships came closer to the edge of the island. It's hull dragged itself on the sand, with a loud screech before coming to a halt.A man jumped out of the ship, landing on his feet, walking towards Percy, "Who are you, laddy?"
"Percy."
"Percy, per say: have you ever heard my name? It's the talk of Rome indeed, lay down your arms for your own safety."
Percy rolled his eyes, he met many egotistical people, mainly, cough Zeus cough. "My lord, I didn't know it was you, spare me," Percy said sarcastically.
It turns out sarcasm didn't exist in Roman times.
Lepidus smirked, "You beg of me to spare you. Centurions, put him in chains at once!"
A Centurion from what seems to be the first cohort lunged at him.
Percy wasted no time and swung the flat of his blade at the centurion approaching him, knocking him unconscious."Come at me! You God of war rejects!" Percy hollered.
Lepidus frowned at the unconscious body beside his feet. Lepidus raised his hand signalling for the centurions to capture him, "I want him alive, he could be a good asset to our ranks!"
Percy parried an incoming sword, before driving his foot into where 'the sun don't shine' on a poor legionary brave enough to take him down or at least attempt to.
Blade against blade, blade against spear, blade against shield, the romans fell down one by one. Percy picked up a scutum laying on the sandy ground and rammed it against multiple soldiers before driving the hilt of his blade into the enemy's skull.
The son of Poseidon killed no one, he merely knocked them out, they were alive not unscathed.
Lepidus growled in anger watching the fight play out, he was a noble, why should he even fight a commoner lest even look at them.A centurion drew out his gladius from his scabbard, he was the centurion of the tenth cohort of the final legion Lepidus owns, the rest, knocked out. Percy, unsurely, guessed that there were alot of centurions he had just knocked out. To his basic knowledge, every legion owns at least 60 centurions at full strength. So he just knocked them all out within minutes.
He hesitantly approached the son of Poseidon, raising his sword up.
Percy raised his eyebrow, the soldier in front of him was not as aggressive as the others, instead of blindly charging in , he staggered unsurely in. Percy decided to take advantage of this, swinging his sword back and forth at the centurion to decrease morale before going in for the blow.

Lepidus seemed horrified afterwards, before he quickly regained his ground once again. "A commoner of your skills usually does not reside around Carthage, are you a spy of many perhaps? Of our enemies perhaps?" Lepidus mused, walking back and forth in front of Percy."Uh No sir.." Percy answered back, although he definitely wasn't letting his guard down.
Lepidus frowned at this, before dismissing it, "You do not need the sword in my presence...er...Percy,' Lepidus seemed weirded out by the name, before continuing on his talk, "You aren't any Roman are you? African perhaps?"
"No sir."
"What in Caesar's dirty sandals do you mean?" Lepidus retorted, raising his hand to order the rest of the loyal legion to start marching ahead while the optios took charge.
"No one across the entirety of the Roman Republic ever has skills like that, and if they do: well...they are dangerous. Yet here you are...in Carthage and at a prime age. You could do fairly well in a battle, eh?"
"Flattering you are, but I do not do fair well in formations good sir. Goodbye." Percy turned away, leaving the legion back and sprinting ahead.
All he heard behind him was Lepidus' curses, and yelling orders to his cavalry who would've flanked Percy. Smart play on Lepidus' part as Lepidus framed his cavalry as scouts but in reality they just slowly inched their way around Percy to probably capture him: unfortunately Percy was a level ahead and Lepidus was not.
Luckily for Lepidus, Percy's opinion did change about the former Triumvirate and they were positive.
