The man didn't have time to respond however, because his attention quickly shifted to a car that had just pulled up. "Oh, hell," he muttered. Agent McCall and Mr. Tate both got out of the car and walked over to them. The latter walked straight to the Sheriff, taking the blanket in his hands from him. "Mr. Tate?"

"It's hers," he confirmed, staring at the blanket.

"All right. Wait here," Agent McCall told him, starting to step away.

"Dad," Scott spoke up.

"I'll talk to you in a minute. I wouldn't mind hearing how your mom's okay with you running around in the woods this late," his father told him, before walking away with the Sheriff.

They informed Allison of everything that had happened the night before at school the next day. The four of them stood at the back of the history classroom, while Stiles showed the Argent his tablet. "Here's where we found the den. It's right in the middle of the hiking trails," he told her.

"Well, that could narrow it down. Coyotes travel in fixed trails. But I think you're right about her not going back to the den. Coyotes don't like wolves. And they're really smart. If they don't want to be heard, they actually walk on their toes," Allison told them.

Stiles sent her a look. "Coyotes tip-toe?" he asked.

Allison rolled her eyes. "They tip-toe," she agreed.

Piper walked over to the group, frowning as she saw the way they were gathered together. "Oh, God. What now?" she wondered.

Ayla just smiled, arms crossed over her chest. "You wouldn't believe me if I told you," she said. Piper shrugged, but didn't ask. And even if she had wanted to, the bell rang for class.

"I got to go, but send me the pinned location," Allison told her friends, quickly leaving for her own class.

The four left behind then moved to their own seats. Kira stopped Piper before she could get to hers. "Hey, uh, I have something for you," she said.

"For me?" Piper wondered.

"Yeah. About Bardo. My explanation was sort of all over the place, so I did some research and I printed it out for you," Kira explained.

"Oh, you didn't need to do that," Piper told her as she searched her bag.

"It only took a couple of hours," Kira responded.

Piper stared at her in surprise, but felt eyes on her. She looked past Kira, seeing Ayla smirking as she watched the exchange. Piper raised her hand to try to gesture for her ex to leave her alone, only to immediately drop her hand as Kira noticed. Piper just smiled innocently at the new girl, while sending death glares at her ex when Kira wasn't looking.

"I swear I printed it out," Kira muttered.

"Kira. You forgot your research for that girl you liked," Mr. Yukimura said, walking over. Kira blushed in embarrassment as she took the papers from her father, while Piper just stood there awkwardly. Kira held the papers out and the two exchanged a smile as Piper took them. They then moved to their seats.

Ayla turned around in hers to face her ex, who sat right behind her. She held her hand out expectantly. Piper pouted. "She researched for me," she whined.

"And you two are adorable, little dorks. But please hand over the possibly important information," Ayla told her.

"Fine," Piper muttered, handing her the papers. Ayla passed them to Scott- who was sitting diagonally in front of her- before turning back towards the front of the room.
