I sped back to Wonwoo's apartment, hoping I wouldn't run into the police; I had to tell him immediately.
I knocked frantically at his door as I tried to collect my thoughts while my mind was in full panic mode.
He opened the door, a groggy look on his face as he slouched and rubbed his eyes, "I thought you were at Kyle's?"
I froze, not sure where I should even start. How could I even get myself to tell him if I haven't processed the whole situation yet?
His hand reached out and grabbed my arm, dragging me inside as he shut the door, my feet clumsily stumbling over each other.
"Woah, what happened to you?" He took my face in his large hands and swiped at the endless tears with the pads of his thumbs.
I'm guessing he finally noticed my red eyes and wet eyelashes.
"It took you that long?"
"Sorry, I don't have my glasses on... Cataracts..." He murmured as he sat down on the couch, gesturing for me to sit next to him.
Nerd.
"Well... y'know... it was the..." I felt my eyes burning back up and tears starting to stream down my cheeks at a quicker rate.
"Is everything okay?" Wonwoo looked down at me and tried to make eye contact.
I sniffled, "NO, NOTHING'S OKAY! IT WAS THE CHEATING AND THE BURNER ACCOUNTS AND THE CLOUT AND THE HICKIES AND ME BEING STUPID AND YOU BEING STUPID AND WE WERE BEING STUPID AND CLUELESS AND WE WERE FUCKING TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF, WONWOO! WE JUST LET IT HAPPEN!" I sobbed into my hands and rocked back and forth on the couch as my chest heaved, my heart physically hurting.
"Woah, take it easy!" Wonwoo's eyes nearly shot out of his skull at my sudden outburst. He scooted closer and draped an arm around me, in an attempt to help ground myself.
I continued sobbing into his chest, wishing I'd never gone to Kyle's stupid fucking house in the first place.
"I wish I'd stayed here with you..." I muttered once I calmed down a bit.
"Why's that?" His voice rumbled pleasantly in his chest as he spoke from above me. He was warm. His familiar fragrance only made him feel warmer. I wanted to stay in his arms forever.
"Bella and Kyle... they were cheating on us with each other..." My stomach dropped unbelievably further once I spoke as if I'd walked into the scene all over again.
Wonwoo's body went rigid, the hand that was once rubbing circles on my back froze in its place, and his breathing stopped all once I finished my dreadful sentence.
"Surely... you don't really mean that..."
I straightened my back and glared at him, "You think I wouldn't have come all the way here in the state that I'm in to lie about something like this, Jeon Wonwoo!?"
"No, of course not... I just don't believe it," his breathing shook as his voice trailed off, "Bella would never do such a thing..."
"Well, I saw it with my own fucking eyes and they were all over each other. So, yes, Bella would do such a thing, and so would that disgrace Kyle!"
Wonwoo stared blankly at the small coffee table in front of us, a silent tear slid down his stoic, blank face, his features showing no emotion at all.
"And they used us for clout," I added, feeling bad for adding more things for him to process, but they had to be said.
"How so?" He muttered, not taking his dull stare off the coffee table as more tears streamed down his face.
I sighed heavily, "They made burner accounts and uploaded pictures of us studying together and portrayed it as cheating, that's why we've been losing followers lately,"
