Chapter 27 - Fixing fights

Mallory then walks out to see Antonio who is sitting on a bench
"Here" Mallory says as she hands him a coffee
"What's this for?" Antonio asks as he takes the coffee
"Thought you might need it" Mallory adds as she sits next to him
"How could he have been so stupid! I thought I raised him better than that!" Antonio says frustrated
"I get you. But you can't hit him. Then I have to charge you" Mallory says as Antonio laughs
"What's been going on with you?" Antonio asks
"What do you mean?" Mallory adds
"Oh come on Mal I'm not blind. You've been quiet lately" Antonio suggests as Mallory sighs
"Me and shay had a massive argument a couple of nights ago. That's why I've been staying at my place" Mallory says as she looks at the ground
"What was it about?" Antonio asks
"Kids. We obviously can't do it the natural way and she said she doesn't want a wedding. She just wants a kid" Mallory explains as she fiddles with her hands
"And why's that a problem?" Antonio asks
"Because I earn more than shay! So most of the money will be coming out of my pocket! I'm not ready to be a mom yet! I'm only young!" Mallory explains
"But you've got a good job! You've got an apartment! You've got your life together!" Antonio says as Mallory smiles
"And I know that your going to be an amazing mom! And I'll get to be uncle Antonio! Which I think is pretty cool!" Antonio says as he laughs
"But we both work long shifts! How are we supposed to take care of a kid?" Mallory asks
"You have the firehouse! You've got us! And you've got your mom and dad and your adoptive parents! You can do this Mal. I know you can" Antonio says as he gives her a hug
"Now let's go get your problem sorted out" Mallory says as she gets up and walks in
Mallory walks up the stairs and into the holding room. She can see Diego sitting with his hands over his face
"I'm not charging you" Mallory says as she sits across from him
"What?" Diego says as he lifts his head up
"I've spoken to Voight and I've filled Upton in. But this is the last time Diego! I can't keep doing this Diego! Promise me you'll never do this again" Mallory says as Diego smiles
"I promise auntie Mallory! I promise!" Diego says as he hugs her
"Now go apologise to your dad!" Mallory says as Diego runs out
