The landscape of the publishing world has changed. For the past century, books were printed and made available to stores as either paperbacks or hardcovers. That distribution method evolved when the e-book arrived. Stores are no longer limited by shelf space, and readers can choose from millions of books on any given day. E-books led publishers to rethink how they released books; and e-books led to the popularity of a new publishing model: self-publishing.
Part Three of this Tidy Guide focuses on the two most common publishing paths: traditional publishing and self-publishing. The path you choose may be different for each novel you write. If you want to self-publish, then by all means, self-publish. Likewise, if you dream of working with a publisher, then you should follow your dream. The path is yours for the choosing.
