I walked into the kitchen, rubbing my eyes and yawning.

"Good morning"

"Morning" I sat down by the kitchen island watching him cook.

"What're you making?"

"Uhm, so I was going to serve bacon and eggs but when I was done I remembered that you're a vegetarian and now I'm struggling"

I got up, walked towards where he was standing and slightly pushed him away.

"Let me do this"

"Okay" He stepped back and sat down by the island.

I could feel his eyes on my back as I was moving around, grabbing the ingredients I needed.

Corpse was setting the table up while I was cutting up some strawberries for finishing touches.

"French toast with strawberries" I presented the food on the table.

"10/10 for presentation" He chuckled.

"Thank you, Chef" I laughed.

We finished eating and just hung out together in the living room.

"Okay so now onto my present"

"Oh God" He chuckled.

"Wait right here on the couch, I'll be right back" I went into his bedroom and grabbed the gift.

"Here you go" I gave it to him.

He carefully unboxed it without breaking the packaging.

"CAT EARS!" I clapped my hands and cheered.

"Fuck" He started laughing.

"Open the next thing"

He opened it and there was a Corpse hoodie.

"Holy shit I didn't have one myself"

"I know" I smiled, "that's why I'm giving you one"

"But do you have one then?"

"I bought 2" I giggled. "We're matching now"

"that's cute"

"I know right? Anddd they match with the cat ears"

"Thank you" He smiled at me.

"No we're not done yet"

"There's more?"

I leaned in for a kiss and he immediately returned it.

Kissing him released all the hundreds of butterflies in my stomach and it felt like they were flying around us.

"I love you" He stopped the kiss and looked me in the eyes.

"I-" I stopped for a second, thinking about Sam.

He let out a weak smile and nodded his head.
