Charlie Jackson

This is definitely the best party I've been to all year. It really made me wish I had found Danielle and her friends so much earlier. It hasn't even been a day but I feel like I've known them forever. Danielle and I were very similar personality wise and I think that's why we got along so well. I always had a blast when I was with her.

I loved being around Kinsley. She had such a gentle spirit and the two of us balanced each other out pretty well. Elliot was fun to hang out with, he would often go into random rants that no one could understand as he talked like he was many years ahead of us all. I made a mental note to let him meet Lina one day. Hayden messed with Elliot like they were siblings. He teased him a lot but it was very brotherly.

We were all in the pool right now along with the remnants of my old friend group.

"Who's up for a chicken fight?" Hayden asked, a sly grin on his face.

Ethan laughed. "No way man, you'd destroy us all." Ethan was 6'1 and Hayden managed to make him look short.

"I'll put Kinsely on my shoulders, she's the shortest." He suggested.

"Alright I guess that works." Ethan nodded.

Danielle jumped on Ethan's back, "You're on my team, pal."

I did the same to Andrew, "We're going to win this." I told him.

"For sure," he said before I pushed him underwater so that I could get on his shoulders.

Elliot quickly scrambled out of the pool, claiming he would just be the referee. Everyone else was partnered up. Lizzie and Lincoln, Hayden and Kinsley, Danielle and Ethan and of course Andrew and me.

Elliot whistled. "Fight!" He yelled.

Immediately us four girls on top began to push and shove each other. Andrew held my legs tightly, determined not to let me fall.

I used all the strength I had from this position and shoved Lizzie backwards. She stumbled and swayed backwards then splashed into the water. I cheered then continued to fight the others.

"God, my neck is gonna be sore all week." Lincoln rubbed his shoulders. Kinsely surprisingly took out Danielle next and now it was just the two of us. I held Kinsley's shoulders and tried pushing her backwards but she had more strength than I anticipated. Hayden kept taking steps towards us, baking us up into the deep end of the pool. Andrew's head was barely above the water, when he took a step back he sunk down and only his forehead was still above water, Kinsely gave one last shove and I fell backward, Andrew unable to hold me up.

Hayden and Kinsley cheered. He flipped Kinsley backwards into the water. "Oh come on, Hayden!" She splashed him when she resurfaced.

"Where did Elliot go?" Danielle asked, looking around the pool deck.

"There," Hayden pointed. Elliot was standing close to the house talking to Xavier Matthews.

I didn't know him well, but I knew he was best friends with Everett Bradley, and I hated Everett. He tormented Lizzie freshman year because she was a drama kid. During her first musical she forgot one of her lines and Everett made sure Lizzie never forgot it. He called her stupid and a terrible actress. He said she would never get anywhere in life because she was a failure. Eventually he got bored of her and the bullying stopped but Lizzie cried herself to sleep every night. During all of that Xavier was there. He never added to the torment, but he never stopped it either. He was probably the only person Everett would listen to and he did nothing. I hated him for it.

"Why's he talking to Xavier?" Hayden asked. He obviously had a bad experience with either Xaviear or Everett

"I have no idea." I shook my head.
