Mallory is headed to work the next morning after falling out with shay. She arrives and sees a blonde haired woman sitting in her seat
"Who's the blonde?" Mallory whispers
"No clue" Antonio replies
"She's kinda hot" Jay says as he smiles
"You can say that again" Mallory adds as Antonio hits her shoulder
"You are engaged!" Antonio says as Mallory smirks
"Sorry boss!" Mallory replies as Voight comes out his office
"I see you've all seen our new detective" Voight says as the blonde smiles
"Detective Hailey Upton" Hailey says as she smiles
The boys all introduce them selfs one by one. Until Hailey stops at Mallory
"Mallory Davis" Mallory says as she shakes her hand
Hailey doesn't let go off her hand
"Earth to Upton?" Mallory says as Hailey snaps out of it
"Sorry! Long morning" Hailey says
"Okay...I'll see you around Upton" Mallory says as she makes her way back to her desk
"I'm getting hell from the mayors office. Apparently we don't have enough patrol on today. Mallory and Upton?" Voight says as Mallory drops her head
"Patrol duty?" Mallory says as she sighs
"Sounds great! I'll meet you in the car" Upton says as she grabs her bag and walks out
Mallory gets up to see the boys laughing
"Shut up" Mallory says as she walks by
Mallory gets in the car and she drives. It's quiet until Upton breaks the silence
"So how long have you been on the job for?" She asks
"About 5 years now" Mallory adds as she takes a sharp turn
"But your only 23 right?" Upton asks
"Yep! I was 18 when I first qualified" Mallory adds
"That's young" Upton says as Mallory smiles
"What about you?" Mallory asks
"I think about 3 years now" Upton adds
"So you qualified when you were 21?" Mallory asks as he come behind a car that's driving funny
"Ugh what's this?" Upton asks as she fixes her badge
"Probably a DUI" Mallory says as she switches the lights on
The driver of the car starts to put up a fight. He starts to floor it and Mallory follows him. Eventually he stops. Mallory and Upton get out and Mallory goes to the window. The driver rolls it down reluctantly
"License and registration" Mallory says bluntly
"I don't need to give you anything!" A man yells with a very familiar voice
"It will make your life easier if you just cooperate" Upton adds
"I know my rights!" The man yells
"We're going to take you in for a DUI anyway so I suggest you cooperate so it can make your life easier" Mallory adds
"Wait till my father hears about this!" The man yells
Mallory looks up and goes pale
"Davis?" Upton says
"That's Antonio's son" Mallory adds
