Several years later.
The girl lifted her pale hands and rubbed her eyes, trying to get the sleep out of it. She had been awake the whole night the day before. It was no wonder that she was sleepy. Well, being a university student, it was nothing new.
It was one of the times she wished Universities didn't exist. Or schools in general. She'd rather love to fall into a deep coma and spend her time sleeping all day. She wondered if there was a job where she could just sleep and get paid but life was unfair. With a sad sigh, she walked on down her university hallways, gracefully tucking a part of her hair behind her ear. Several eyes followed her down as she walked. But she paid no heed.
Well...
She was beautiful and she knew it. She acknowledged it. But that's how far it goes.
She didn't have time to spare for the sorry sobs who dwelled on it. She had much better things to do with her life.
She was rudely interrupted from her internal monologue when someone brushed past her. Succumbing to a strange intense feeling to look back, she turned.
The boy who had walked past had stopped as well.
The first thing a person would notice about him was the silver lip ring that glinted on his lips, but then their eyes would stray past to the sharp cut jaw and up to the sparkling brown eyes, partly hidden by the gorgeously messy raven hair.
Any other girl would swoon. But her...
She had absolutely no intentions to get herself involved with the school's popular heartbreaker. The two stood sizing each other up for a long moment before they tuned back walked their own ways.
She would have liked it if that was all there was to it. But it wasn't.
A curious and unusual habit had taken hold of her after that incident. Often she'd stare out the window, lost deep in her daydreams of the warm bed that awaited her at home when her eyes would find the boy again. He would also turn as if attracted by her magnetic gaze to meet her eyes.
Unsurprisingly, she'd look away at the speed of light. But she'd feel the boy's gaze linger on her face.
She despised the strange pull she felt every time they crossed paths. Every time she'd try to avoid him but somehow, as if the whole universe was against her, she'd still manage to come across that boy. Both the pair couldn't resist the pull to look at each other when they'd cross paths.
She crossed her arms, sitting on the bleachers sighing frustratedly. It was the game night and her friends had dragged her over to the Uni from her home.
And where were her so-called friends, you might ask?
God knows where! They had ditched her. She mentally plotted an evil plan for her revenge as she begrudgingly sat on the bleachers staring at the players who were getting ready, a frown upon her lips. She suddenly felt a presence slide into the seats next to her and she looked up scowling at the person who had dared take that place without her permission when she realized that it was none other than the boy. Her eyes widened.
The boy turned to her with his classic grin, the silver lip ring glinting in the dim light.
"Hey," he breathed and she had to admire the texture of his tone. So deep and smooth, a melodic touch to it. Being someone who enjoyed music and had a passion for it, she couldn't help but admire such fine details. She, however, tilted her head with a quirk of an eyebrow without returning his gesture.
"Wow... I can see why they call you the Ice Princess." He said. She frowned at the nickname her fellow classmates had given her, nose scrunching up in displeasure. She turned away from the boy, her gaze turning back to the football field.
