"Why d'you kill him?"

We were finally at the police station, to commence an interrogation. It's been around an hour since we first arrived at Carlos' house and investigated, but now that we got the deviant responsible, it's time to question him or- at least attempt to.

Hank was currently in the interrogation room with the deviant; they were sitting across from each other. Connor, another officer, and I were in another room right next door, along with the all-famous Gavin Reed who decided to join in on the fun.

We were watching them through a one-way glass. It was basically a double-sided mirror situation where we could see and hear them, but they couldn't see or hear us. Both rooms were dim, seemingly for 'dramatic effect.' The deviant was handcuffed to the table and was looking down, avoiding all eye contact as he didn't say a word to Hank's previous question.

In response, Hank decided to ask a different question.

"What happened before you took that knife?"

Connor, Gavin, and I stood in silence as we watched Hank try to interrogate the deviant, but he continued to say nothing.

Hank glanced at the glass where we were and tried again. "How long were ya in the attic?"

Silence.

"Why didn't you even try to run away?"

More silence.

Hank snapped his fingers in his face to get something from him, but alas no reaction. Growing frustrated, Hank slammed his hands on the table. "Say something, goddamnit!" he yelled.

The deviant continued to look down and not say anything, not even flinching from Hank's outburst. Hank scoffed and shook his head as he began to stand up. "F*ck it, I'm outta here..." He left the interrogation room and walked into the room everyone else was in. Gavin went to lean his back on the wall and crossed his arms, seemingly thinking.

"We're wastin' our time interrogating a machine, we're gettin' nothing out of it!" Hank complained as he sat down on an empty chair next to the other officer, practically glaring at the deviant in the other room through the one-way glass with a frown on his face.

Gavin shrugged. "'Could always try roughing it up a little," he suggested, "After all, it's not human..."

"Androids don't feel pain," Connor stated. "You would only damage it and that wouldn't make it talk."

I nodded. "Yeah. Sorry to burst your bubble, bad cop, but that's not gonna work here" I added, resulting in Gavin to just scoff and roll his eyes.

"Deviants also have a tendency to self-destruct when they're in stressful situations" Connor mentioned.

Seems like Gavin got annoyed at us as he moved away from the wall and uncrossed his arms. "Okay, smartasses," he held a tight smile as his almost sarcastic tone slipped into his speech, "What should we do then?"

Connor thought for a moment. "I could try questioning it." Gavin busted out laughing as he moved back to leaning on the wall, with his arms crossed and a smile on his face. I glared at him.

Hank shrugged, "What do we have to lose?" Gavin's smile dropped as I looked at Hank in gratitude. "Go ahead," he gestured to the glass, "suspect's all yours."
