Chapter 85 Therapists and Conspirators

Start from the beginning

‘Because Dumbledore said so,’ Ron said.

‘And what makes that true?’ asked Hr. Galston.

‘Dumbledore said so,’ Ron said.

‘So, everything Dumbledore says is true?’ asked Hr. Galston.

Ron nodded, ‘yes.’

‘So, when he said that Harry Potter’s only family were Muggles, was he telling the truth then?’ asked Hr. Galston.

Ron’s heart almost stopped, ‘it was for the greater good.’

‘So, he can lie for the greater good?’ asked Hr. Galston. ‘Have you ever thought that maybe he was lying to for the greater good?’

Ron opened and closed his mouth several times, trying find a way to deny that. It felt like all of his basic truths had been torn from him. It was like suddenly being told that air was poisonous, that the sky was down, or that You Know Who was good.

‘I think that’s enough for today,’ Hr. Galston said softly. ‘Would you like a drink?’

Ron nodded and grasped his hand around the comfortingly warm mug of hot chocolate.

‘Are you ready to talk about it?’ asked Hr. Galston.

Ron shook his head.

‘Okay,’ Hr. Galston said. ‘But over the next week I want you to work on thinking about the things Dumbledore told you and why they might not be true. And think on the things that Hadrian Slytherin has done and why he might have done so. And the things you have done to him and how that might make him feel.’

Ron shrugged.

‘Can I call your guardian in?’ asked Hr. Galston.

Ron shrugged.

A couple minutes later and his uncle was there. He looked at Ron with concern.
