My Freshman Year

Prologue

It was July 19, 2010. First day of band camp. I was just a freshman. I only had one friend (Sam) that I was close with going into a band where the trumpet section is the size of most bands. This band has a reputation, it's one of the biggest, loudest, overall best bands in the state, and me a little 14 year old freshman coming from a small private school where my graduating class was 6 going into something like this? I was terrified to say the least.

So many people, what if I don't fit in? What if people think I'm wierd? What if Sam finds new friends and leaves me to be alone? All these things running through my head didn't help my nervousness on that dreaded first day. Well, i thought those were going to be all my worries, boy was i wrong.....

The main character's name is Ellie and this is a true story on what happened to me my freshman year. A hell of a lot of drama. I hope you enjoy it.
