I think this may be the first time I've addressed you by your name instead of simply calling you brat. In all honesty, it feels a bit weird but then again, this isn't a typical letter.

As you know, I have been on official business to the underground cities for quite a few days now and, ever since my first day here, I've been looking for this one specific book.

It's about the life down here and how people have survived for generations barely any access to the sun. But the more I look, the more I realize no such book exists and, on an impulse, I decided to write it myself.

A book written especially for you about the history of the underground. My favorite part is the beginning of it, how this shitty space started existing in the first place.

I have no idea what these little flowers attached to the letter are called but they are fairly common for they have adapted themselves to grow without the need of sunlight. It is quite beautiful honestly and I thought you might enjoy it.

In this book, you will find newspapers clips, drawings of criminals and families whose houses became empty as time went by, you may even be able to find my mugshot if you look closely.

Food is so rare but we manage, even if it means parents won't be able to eat for days so their children will be fed. The alcohol down here is better than any crap they can serve up there.

I actually got you some very expensive black tea, it's imported from a small village in the mountains. Only a few people know of their existence and I happen to have connections all over the place.

This letter is what's all over the place, I need to focus. Let me clean up this mess and get to the point.

The other day, you asked me why I am constantly protecting you and making sure you don't become titan shit. Well, that is because before my mother died I promised her I would protect the ones I love and... I love you.

I've loved you for the longest time.

I would like to bring you here sometime. I want to show you the places I've been my entire life, show you the sights I've admired since I can call myself a person. I want to bring this part of my life and turn it into a positive experience with you by my side.
