I - Unwanted Visions

Start from the beginning

"Okay, fine. Just go back home quickly." He said. I thanked and embraced him. Myles is always two steps behind me and I love him for that. We are siblings no matter what even when he knew that I wasn't his real sister. I'm adopted. Accidentally, adopted.

"Nuff with the I love my sister/brother drama. Come on now, babe." Shaye said who's already on my window.

"Well then, let's go." I said and waved goodbye to Myles who has a worried look plastered on his face.

"Right there back ya'." Shaye replied.

We sneaked out my window and climbed down the ladder I placed yesterday after Shaye planned our adventure. Home is never the place I wanted to be at. Not since I found out that my biological father left me as a baby on the front door of my Mom and Dad's house or our house now. I felt  unwanted when I learned about it. My real parents are sick. Sometimes I wonder if they are yearning for me. Maybe not. Maybe they're both drowning in karma up to this day.

I looked up the dark sky and my knees wobbled. I always feel like the moon is watching over me. Go back home. I heard it say. Or maybe it was just my mind. I don't know. I'm always the girl with crazy hallucinations. Turn around, and walk back home, Nina. That voice is always there since I'm a child along with my nightmares.

"Hey, Nina, what's wrong?" Shaye asked when she noticed my puzzled face.

"Nothing." I lied.

"Ooookay. How about we go inside the bus now cause It's WAITING FOR US NINA."  I nodded and headed inside following Shaye. We sat on the back of the driver seat. "I think this is a bad idea, Shaye. Maybe we should go back."

Shaye gave me a confused look. " Well maybe you need a pinch of alcohol." She fished a bottle of Absolut  vodka from her knapsack and handed it to my chest. "Drink." She ordered. A old lady on the other side of the bus chair gave me and Shaye a suspicious look. "What are you lookin' at? Mind your own, business." Shaye hissed.

I nudged Shaye on the arm. "Just fucking drink it, Nina." I did what she said and gulped on the bottled of vodka. It burned down my throat causing me to feel funny. "That's my girl." Shaye crowed.

After the bus gave it's last turn, Shaye grabbed my hand and dragged me out of the bus. We ran into the back of Stanton Museum. My mom and dad used to bring me here when I was young, and I know that on the back, there's a wide public football field and swimming pool. I'm pretty sure there's a party going on. Of course, I was right when Shaye shouted, "HERE COMES THE PARTY ANIMAL!"

Once I got a stable view of the football field, there are a crowd of people my age and people that aren't my age going wild and crazy to the loud tune of Kim Wilde's, Kids in America pumping into the  breezy midnight air. I smiled like a freak. This is going to be a great night after all. "Shaye Longwood  you are a legend. Did you planned all these? And this is illegal right?" I asked as we walked our way in the middle of the crowd where people are dancing like there's no tomorrow. Shaye laughed dripping a bit her vodka. "No, you silly! I was invited by someone. And yes, it's one hundred percent illegal."

"And who's that someone?" I quized. Typical Shaye. If there's an event she likes, she won't have any doubt just to be in that event even if she knows or not who invited her.

"I don't know. Just some guy I met at the bar the other day" She replied totally drunk with all the vodka her stomach consumed. That's what I expected her answer would be. I rolled my eyes at her. "Ease up, Nina. Have fun! Enjoy the night." She said while dancing like a total slut.

I realized Shaye was right. With all the craziness happening to myself, I should be living my life more. So I took the vodka from her hands and drank it all. After that, I am officialy drunk with 50/50 vision. "Shaye! I love your for this night!"

Shaye giggled. "No probs, babe."

"Babe, huh?" A guy with a super sexy voice said. I try to look at his face but I'm too drunk to see it clearly. "I'm glad you brought your friend, Shaye. Very nice of you." He said as he caressed my arm. I kind of liked it. Side effects of being drunk.

"She's pretty hot, right?" Shaye said using her sassy voice when she flirts. He must be the guy who invited Shaye.

"Yes." The guy pirate grinned. "Very."

"Can you dance with me?" I asked copying Shaye's sassy voice. Well, kind of offering him to actually. Damn these side effects of drunkness.

"Sure, babe." He agreed and placed his hands on my hips as I placed mine onto top of his. He was on my back and I could feel his breath on my neck. The smell of alcohol and cigar crept into my nose. I swayed my hips slowly to the rythm of the music. Out of nowhere, he stirs me around to face him and suddenly he crashes his lips onto mine. I could see red smoke everywhere.

Everything was going great when someone yelled, "POLICE IS HERE! EVERYONE OUT!" People started scampering and shouting with fear of getting arrested. I started to run too hoping to find where the hell Shaye is when the guy caught my arms and pulled me back to him. "Let me go!" I demanded but his grip on me was hard. "What do you want!? Let me go you faggot!"

A wicked smile crept on his face. He covered my mouth and striked a dagger on the side of my right leg. I fell on the ground wincing in pain. Everything happened so fast. He was about to lunge again when two police officers stopped him. I have two options; it's either to stay and let the cops help me but I will surely get arrested or  maybe run back home withstanding the pain but not get arrested. I chose option two and immediately ran while supporting my aching leg. I dared to see what happened to the guy.

I gasped!

He was carrying both of the police officers with his own bare hands. He was crushing their necks! I gaped wide eyed. This can't be true. Leave, Nina. Go! It's the voice!

Run child! Go home now. Run! I heard the voice say again snapping me back to myself and ran. Tears rolled down my eyes. Was he trying to kill me? I didn't even know who he is! Luckily, I reached a bus waiting for passengers. I'm panting too loud and my heartbeat is pumping fast. I looked back for Shaye but she isn't anywhere to find. "I'm so sorry, Shaye." I shut my eyes hoping Shaye could forgive me. I hopped inside the bus for my own safety. If I am.
