Heracles was talking to Zoë Nightshade. Thanks to future Zoë, or past Zoë, whichever, I knew exactly what would happen next, and couldn't wait for it to pass.
Heracles looked like your typical dumb blond, but strong, obviously. Strong but clueless.
I knew that wasn't the case.
From there, I could see Zoë catching glances of Heracles when he wasn't looking, kind of like a fangirl, or like Heracles was her role model. It felt so out of character to watch her like that.
You do not want to become Heracles when you grow up. He literally got mad and murdered his first family. Well, maybe he will in the future if it hasn't happened already, as I didn't think stuff like these would matter in my life.
She was admiring him, a way to escape her duties and go on an adventure or so she thought.
Or kind of like Annabeth, I remembered something that happened, during my quest in the Labyrinth
They were in front of a door, it was the color of tree bark, and, I swear, out of the corner of my eye, I saw Annabeth looking at me dreamily, I guess she was looking at the architecture, but I still had my doubts, she was a daughter of Athena after all.
The door had a bunch of Carvings with so much detail, it would take years to make with only hands.
A bunch of Greek Monsters and some Gods were carved into the door.Snap out of it, Percy, you are not a son of Athena. Luckily.
I was instantly snapped out of my memory and brought back to the present, where I was kind of time traveling.
I hid behind one of the trees so no one could see him, I crept up to the next tree, with almost no noise, I say almost, so they heard a little noise. I mean, there were leaves everywhere. Makes sense, because it's a tree.
"What was that, Heracles?"
"Probably a bird or something harmless." he replied calmly.
"Anaklusmos? Pleione?"
"Please take it to Attack Ladon but please don't kill him," Zoë begged.
"Of course my fair lady," Heracles said in a husky voice causing Zoë to blush.
Ew.
But little did she know how Heracles was going to ruin her life.
And there was no way in Olympus I was going to let that happen.
Heracles wouldn't even keep Anaklusmos, he was just going to throw it away. Granted, I would get it from Chiron, but I could find another sword.
Heracles would cause so much heartbreak to Zoë that she wouldn't even be remembered in history.
He would make Zoe an outcast, unwelcome on Mount Tamalpais.
Zoë didn't know all that yet, but I did, and I only knew it because Zoë told it to me on my third quest.
My plan was when Heracles didn't notice, kind of kidnap her, and tell her what Heracles would do to her life and help her, but I'm terrible at plans, better at accomplishing what I plan.
I got up and stretched myself, my back was still sore from the fight with Kampê as it was only a few minutes ago.
As soon as Heracles went to fight Ladon, I took hold of Zoë and closed her mouth, she let out a gasp of shock as she turned around and whimpered.
I pulled her to behind a tree and took my hand off her mouth, "Don't shout." I said softly.
She narrowed her eyes, "Who are you?"
