Chapter 62 - Orphans Together
Esunea
"There's only one way to control the beast,
decide on how much chakra you're allowed to feast,
that's how we do it in the East,
Yeah~" Bee rapped as he stood on one of the collapsing walls of the training grounds.
We were in the same place I had fought Tamara, but this time around Bee, Naruto, and I were the only ones here. Everybody else was busy running about the village, preparing for the final show down. The remaining villagers who hadn't left the village at the beginning of the war were being ushered into bunkers. Some completely up and left, leaving behind their posessions to travel farther West to the sea side where the war hadn't effected. Shinobi in vests from various countries made up most of those in the streets themselves.
"Do you mind repeating that in words I can understand?" I asked Killer Bee. His rhymes were often confusing and missleading. I didn't know if he did it to agitate his opponets or if it was a habit he couldn't break.
"What he means is---you have to make an agreement with your tailed beast." Naruto explained for Bee. "While you borrow his chakra, he takes yours. There's only a certain amount you can take before your spent. Then...it's about the same result as if you'd lost against him when you sealed him in the first place."
"So, what your saying is, it's like tug of war." I summarized.
"Ex-act-ly" Bee crossed his arms and gave me the rock-on sign upside down.
"There's only one thing you can do,
sit on the ground and close your eyes from the view,
and agree on a term between you two,
or that's it, too bad, you lose."
He let his feet come out from underneath him and he landed on his butt, sitting on the wall with his legs crossed. His arms were folded too, but because of his goggles I had no idea what he was feeling. Bee seemed to be looking at Naruto and I, but Naruto was already on the ground, legs crossed. With a sigh, I sat down and did the same thing. I closed my eyes like he had instructed.
"This ought to be interesting, nya~" a familiar voice, that of a boy's, drifted into my ears. It caused me to open my eyes quickly.
"What are you three doing here?" I demmanded out of the three kittens, looking to Kasai since he had been the one to speak.
"I told you guys that we shouldn't have come." Safaia's high-pitched voice warned the others, clearly distressed. She was the only one that listened to my orders---usually. This time her siblings must have convinced her to bend the rules a bit.
"We just wanted to watch." Ichigo, the oldest, stood up for the other two.
Great, I won't be able to focus at all, I frowned as I looked upon them. Safaia was the youngest, the white female kitten with her purple headband tied around her neck sat beside her sister, Ichigo. The other female was black and white with a red headband tied around her neck. Their only brother was Kasai, the michief maker and the one wearing the blue headband. He was ash grey and unlike his sisters, had green eyes instead of blue. Although Kasai often got them into trouble, Ichigo was the leader of their little band.
