This post is going to be short and sweet because I’ve got somewhere to be in 12 minutes. So, just this week I did something I’m terribly terribly afraid of. I gave someone my work so they could look at it. In all honesty, I thought it was the worst thing ever! I was sitting there after two hours that it took her to convince me, by the way, and I couldn’t sit still. I kept wondering if something had gone wrong or if I should email her to say forget about it but I resisted.
Now I can tell you that it was probably one of the best things I’ve ever done. The lady I gave it to is the top of the top, the cherry on the sundae, the biggest juiciest Georgia peach you could ever dream up. I was lucky enough to get some feedback from her and some suggestions. People! That’s the best thing ever! With this new work, I’m so out of my element and going in blind. She was able to shed some light for me and that’s what having other writer people around you is all about! Support, constructive feedback.
Anyways, let’s talk about something else today. The concept of time. Don’t you love it? Time, time, time. Our culture is obsessed with it. We are always wondering what time it is or worrying about how late we are going to be. Do yourself a favor, slow down. Take a deep breath and slow down. Think it through. Take the time to appreciate the beauty around you. Take time to appreciate your family, your friends, your co-workers that drive you insane. That’s your challenge for this week. Take a breather. Don’t let it get to you.
See you next week!
P.S. – Can you guess? YES! Tune in tonight for the next installment in the Adventure Series with the fabulous Wattpad4! Come out and have some fun! Look in Twitter under the hashtag #Wattpad4 at 8pm EST. Trust me, you won’t regret
