FATE - Reader x Duan Xing Xing

1+intro

All the other trainees see Rimiko, a trainee competing in youth with you 3 (the new place I'm working at) tremble his legs, hands and voice while being questioned by the media while we're filming the first episode of the show. He's definitely someone I'll for sure remember later on, but someone that I know I'll remember is Duan Xing Xing. The moment he walked into the room with all the other trainees was, and is unforgettable to me. He seems like a fun person too, as I see him always talking to the people around him with a huge smile on his face. Just something about him can stand out and catch my attention in a room crowded with 119 guys.

My job is to help with anything the boss needs, and helping the trainees with anything they desire, because they're the stars of the show.

While sitting near the boys, I realize I need to go to the washroom. When I look around there aren't any other employees in the room, so I guess I'll have to look around for it myself. As I walk up the stairs closer to the  hallway door that has a red sign that says "EXIT" on it, I feel a gentle tap on the side of my arm. I turn around, surprisingly seeing Xing Xing, standing on the stairstep behind me. "Do you know where the washroom is?" He asked awkwardly. I get why he's not talking like he usually does to his friends, I'm a complete stranger to him. "Oh, sorry I'm new here, so I dont know either. I was just about to go and find it too" I reply while trying to avoid much eye contact, I dont want to make the situation more awkward as it is.

After hearing what I said, his facial expression changes. I can tell that going to the washroom is urgent for him but doesnt tell me because of course, it would be embarrassing for him. He's easy to read, probably because I pay attention to the small details on him. The last thing I want is him being uncomfortable while waiting for hours for everyone to finish filming. "You wanna search for it with me? I'm sure it's not that far from here" I tell him, and his expression changes once again. "Yeah, sure but I gotta take off my sweater on my seat, it's pretty hot in here even though it's late" he replies as he starts to walk back to his seat and take off his sweater. I don't seem like myself, staring at him while he takes off his sweater and reveals his white undershirt. All of a sudden, I see someone else looking at me.

Next to Xing Xing are 3 guys who are looking at him, at me, then back at him while talking with smiles and smirks on their faces. Did they realize I was staring? I think to myself. Never mind, they must be just asking him where he's going. I didnt make it that obvious that I was looking at him, I say to myself again. Xing Xing runs up the stairs as he comes back, and I hold the door for him. As we walk in the empty hallway, the only sounds we hear are our footsteps. I can't even start a conversation to break this awkward tension. I don't talk at all as he walks behind me, but he suddenly starts walking a bit faster to walk beside me. He seems so calm, and I try to seem so as well, but in the inside I'm startled because him walking beside me caught me off guard. On the far left of the hallway, I see a door with a sign that says "WASHROOM".

"Oh, I found the washroom over there" I say and point, and we walk towards the door. "Theres only one washroom" he replies. "You can go first, I dont have to go that bad" I lie. I can tell he has to go badly, so I want him to go before me even though I have to go too. "No, you can go first I dont have to go badly either" I can tell he's lying as well. Why would he lie when I said I dont have to go? Can he read me just like how I can with him? I doubt it. I'll just go really quick so he doesnt have to wait that long. I think to myself. I agree and walk into the washroom and lock the door.

When I finish and wash my hands, I hear a strange clicking sound and the light flickers. I dont think anything of it, so I finish quickly and walk out the door to see him waiting while leaning on a wall. As he starts to walk forward to open the washroom door, we hear the same clicking sound, and a couple seconds later the whole hallway turns pitch black.
