nai's pov

so it's been a week since i've seen zach we've hung out a lot i told him about almost everything and he said i should talk things out with jaden settle what we both actually want and i think he's right i need to stop stressing about this

i walk over to the sway house and just walk in because they never lock the door which is really stupid of them

once i walk in i'm greeted by bryce josh and anthony

bryce: well look who we got here my favorite damelio
i laugh and say
nai: that would be me
bryce: wow your not gonna say i'm your favorite sway boy
nai: no cause your not
josh: yeah cause it's obviously me
nai: wrong again
josh: then who is
anthony: probably lover who's upstairs
nai: actually it's you ant
anthony: wait really?
nai: no... i don't have one you all annoy me
anthony: you gave my hopes up
i laugh and say
nai: well imma go talk to jaden
they nod and i head upstairs

i knock on his door and my hands start shaking
jaden: COME IN
nai: well here goes nothing
i whisper
i walk in and see jaden sitting on his gaming chair i walk over and sit on the edge of his bed

jaden: hey?
nai: hey
jaden: what are you doing here
nai: i came to uhh talk
jaden: oh so now you want to talk huh
nai: what is that supposed to mean
jaden: nai you literally ghosted me after we went on a date and then i see you with some guy at santa monica on social media
nai: oh okay! you can't just assume i'm dating him he's literally just a friend
jaden: just a friend that's what they all say
nai: can we not bring him into this that's not the issue here
jaden: then what's the problem nailea
nai: you.. your the problem jaden don't you get it you remember when vinnie cheated on me you. you were the one i came to the one i felt safe with the one who i thought i could trust you made me feel safe you made me forget why i was feeling that way you made me happy...

tears just start pouring out of my eyes i somehow can't control my body or what's coming out of my mouth

nai: but then you go off and do the same thing who was i supposed to go to then huh? who? i don't feel safe and secured with anyone else i only feel that with you. what you did really hurt me not only because you specifically you cheated on me but because you broke the promise...

i stop trying to catch my breath wiping my tears but more start pouring out

nai: you said you would never hurt me! you promised
i whisper

nai: you know how much promises mean to me and yeah "promises are meant to be broken" but i never thought you were one to break them. i just can't anymore i hate everything to do with me i just.. i just wish everything would go back to normal but then again it seems i can't get anything i want

i finish saying i look at him and see tears in his eyes

nai: sorry this was a bad idea i shou-
jaden: nai stop no you did the right thing and i'm sorry i made you feel that way okay i know me saying sorry isn't gonna take the pain away and i can't imagine what your going through but remember i'm still here i'm never leaving and i won't promise you anything because i have learned from before but i'll do anything in my power to never leave you and yes i know how much promises mean to you so i'm just going to say this before anyone before me gets to and i'm going to say sorry in advance because i don't know how you gonna take it and i feel horrible for actually falling through and doing it but...

he takes a deep breath i look at him confused

jaden: i-i uhh i was dared to ask you out and cheat on you with mads

my heart drops to my stomach i know i didn't hear what i think i heard

nai: w-wait what
now the dream makes sense i thought

jaden: im an idiot i know but i didn't wanna lose my reputation but now that i look at it i shouldn't of done that you know
nai: yeah no kidding
jaden: but nai i regret it so much
nai: and you should im feeling like garbage just because you wanted to keep your "reputation" are you serious your an idiot
jaden: please im sorry
nai: i am too
nai: so what you never actually wanted to date me
jaden: of course i did
nai: then why... why actually throw all of that away just for a stupid dare
jaden: im not throwing it away im trying to fix it
nai: and i was too but nah not anymore since your little reputation is more important why not stick to it obviously it's more important than me
jaden: nai please just hear me out i was drunk and i wasn't thinking okay you mean so much to me and no i'm not giving up on us until i get you back the dare was stupid yes but before they dared me i was already planning to make you mine i was just scared i was afraid you would reject me so the dare pushed me to become closer i shouldn't of finished it off but i did and i regret it deeply and i'm sorry

nai: who was there
jaden: what?
nai: who was there when they dared you
jaden: uhh i think all the sway boys why?
nai: so bryce?
jaden: yeah i think so
i nod
nai: well i accept your apology but i'm still mad at you
jaden: how does that work
nai: i don't know you figure it out
i say walking out i go downstairs trying to find bryce

i soon find him filming a tiktok outside i go up to him and slap him as hard as i can

bryce: OWWW! WHAT WAS THAT FOR
nai: you knew
bryce: knew what!
nai: knew about the dare all of it and didn't tell me
bryce: look i just found out not to long ago by noah i don't remember that night i was drunk
nai: oh well uh sorry?
bryce: i would've told you but i wanted jaden to do that
i nod
nai: well i have someone else to go slap
he laughs and says
bryce: you ruined my tiktok
he says showing me i laugh
nai: oh boohoo just make another one
nai: YOU SHOULD POST IT THO ITS FUNNY
i say walking away to find noah
