In the deep jungle, a deer was frolicking. It was a good size with large antlers. It grazed peacefully on the vegetation. Unbeknownst to it, a predator lurked in the shadows.

My green eyes stared at the animal with a piercing gaze. As quick as the wind, I skillfully pulled back the string to their weapon. The weapon was drawn back. My focus is entirely on the unaware prey.

A twig snapping caused the prey to freeze just before I could pull back. Its ear twitched before it fled the scene. I stepped out frustrated, "You had to ruin my fun?"

The intruder just grinned, "Ruin your fun? The adventure is just getting started."

They tossed a piece of parchment. I unrolled it and read its contents. A devious grin formed on my face, "I'm game."

We marched through the jungle to their destination. As we did, we engaged in light-hearted conservation.

"How did you know I left camp?"

"I could sense you anywhere on the island, Jess."

I smiled, "I should expect nothing less, Peter."

Peter Pan gave me a fond look as we stopped walking. In front of us were ancient ruins. Runes were engraved on the stone. I ran my hands over it delicately, "What kind of ruins are here?"

"Legends have it that a mythical relic rests here. It is the Pari Horn. It can summon a grand beast for this year's hunt."

I raised an eyebrow at the mention of such a creature. Rumours had it that it could only be brought forth on the night of the Hunter's moon. The Lost Boys were eager for this year's hunt and celebrations.

I lit up a torch with fire to illuminate the passageway. A mystical feeling sent shivers up my spine, "What are the chances of there being traps?"

"Highly likely," Peter replied, "Care to walk the tightrope into danger with me?"

"Do you even have to ask?" I broke out into a light laughter.

We effortlessly maneuvered through the ruins. Along the way; we intentionally set off each trap. Normally, it could kill a Lost Boy. But neither of us were Lost Boys.

The last eighteen years were a testament to our strength and resilience. Our bond is stronger than ever.

Neverland remained untamed, pinned with dangers around every corner. From Dreamshade to Never Beasts, it was never a dull moment. However, after the events eighteen years ago, the wildlife had bowed to our power. As such, they laid low unless summoned. In turn, we only would take down those that pose a threat to us.

I leaped across a chasm and landed in Peter's arms. He placed me back on the ground as we stood in front of two separate tunnels. All we saw was the darkness lying ahead.

My eyes met Peter's as a lopsided smile formed on my face, "The last one to the chamber loses."

"You're on."

We broke off into the individual tunnels. Our weapons were out for any incoming attacks. In my tunnel, the darkness soon gave way to light bouncing off the different coloured gems embedded in the cave wall. They gleamed as I walked past them.

An animal cry led to me holding out my poisoned dagger. It flowed gold with my magic for a moment to process the incoming threat. Eagle eyes appeared in the darkness as the beast crept closer.

It had large talons, and broad wings that were folded back. Its beak was sharp and it oozed power.

The griffin let out a wild shriek before charging at me. I ducked to avoid its sharp talons. It landed on the ground behind me. I straightened my stance, "Trust me when I say this, you do not wish to fight me."
