A/N: Hi, guys! How's life lately? I'm just cross-posting this fic from my Archiveofourown account (asdfghjklwhaaat) and I'll be updating the story there first. So if you want to check latest updates, head on my Ao3 :)
I'm writing this as a life cleanse because my life's being shitty at the moment. This is going to be a quick one. I promised to finish this in 10-days or less. I already drafted the whole story so I am assuring you all that I'm going to finish this haha.
Please disregard the grammar lapses. Just pretend you can't see one lol.
Anyways, I hope you enjoy and support this story. Talk and shout at me in the comments, please? I would really appreciate it. I'll try to respond to all of them.

The music is loud but he is enjoying it. Although not as much as the other people who are blatantly shouting and dancing their hearts out right now along with the band that is currently playing at the stage. Timmy simply hums the song while Florence headbangs beside him. He can't help but be amused at his friend.
"Every time I think that I've been takin' the steps
You end up mad at me for makin' a mess
I can't understand
Why you don't understand me, baby
And every day I wake up and I make money for myself
And though we share a bed, you know that I don't need your help
Do you understand?
You don't understand me, baby"
Everyone is enjoying the band's rendition of Haim's The Steps. It's wild and loud tonight. If he only knows that this place that Saoirse and her band have this crazy yet cool atmosphere, he must have agreed to her invitation a long time ago.
Saoirse and Flo are two of his closest friends after her sister Pauline. He met the two during college and they have been almost inseparable since. He took up business management against his will but he made sure that his time in uni will be worthwhile. Because heck, he does not even like what he is studying so might as well make sure he will enjoy the parties and make a lot of friends out of it. Florence meanwhile is a creative writing major. She is currently in the process of editing her first manuscript. After endless rejections from big publishers, she finally got her success and is now about to be a published author. Saoirse, on the other hand, is an attorney. She is an attorney during the day, a drummer of her band at night. Timmy drinks at the thought. He got cool friends, wow.
"OMG, I love you, Saoirse!" Flo shouts.
"Wuhuooo! Go get it, Sersh!" Timmy joins in and shouts his lungs out. After all, he is here to support his friend and forget what happened earlier today.
But even though they both shouted, the music is just too loud so it is impossible for Saoirse to hear them now. Both him and Flo just laugh it out. After the song ends, they go back to their table.
Flo takes a sip from her drink, "I love their set tonight! I love this night! God, I just love my life!"
Timmy smiles before responding. He can see how Flo is so happy right now. "Yeah, they're great. Saoirse's in her element tonight. How come I only agree to come here tonight?"
"That's cause you keep on complaining this bar is so far from your place." Flo answers.
"But it is far!"
"Yeah, whatever. Their band likes this place a lot, and they are planning to play at least twice a week here so you need to get over your excuse."
