Avoiding you for a reason

I made it early to SM HQ today because I need to help the dreamies prepare for a music bank performance. I was really excited because I get to go with them and experience what it's like being backstage, getting their hair, makeup and outfits ready. Obviously, the staff and the dreamies all left in different cars. We (the staff) got there before the dreamies because we had to prepare everything and make sure everything was ready so the show will go smoothly. One by one the dreamies started to arrive. Mark was the last to arrive, he walked in and so did his positive energy.

"EVERYBODY! LET'S HAVE A GOOD SHOW TODAY!"

The staff and the dreamies all cheered and started to get to work. Soon enough the room got hectic and loud, staff were rushing around getting hair and makeup products, some members were marking their dance moves while waiting for their hair to set and others were singing to themselves while getting their makeup done. I successfully got all members ready without an issue as I spent my whole morning organising everything perfectly.

"NCT Dream to Right wing, you're on in 10"

The Dreamies and I rushed backstage right and waited for their final cue to go on stage. While we waited, Renjun was telling me funny stories about pre-debut dream as I was fixing his shirt. We were being as quite as we can but since Jaemin soon joined the conversation, all you could hear was our laughter.

WO: "No way mark actually said that!?" Trying to hold back my laughter

RJ: "No, I'm serious. He didn't even know what was wrong"

JM: "It was seriously so funny, but mark's Korean has gotten a lot better now so mistakes like that don't happen that often anymore"

I liked talking to Renjun and Jaemin because they were always so nice and genuine with staff, it created a nice work environment. Fixing Renjun's outfit was a struggle because my hair kept getting in the way and since backstage was dark enough already it made my job 10x harder.

JM: "Do you want me to tie your hair back?"

I was flustered by the question and instantly turned red. I stuttered while saying no making it clear that I got shy till the point that I had even forgotten what I was adjusting on Renjun's outfit. When I remembered what I was doing with his outfit I thought to myself where I would have put my scrunchie.

RJ: "oh, Haechan-ah, where have you been? We were called five minutes ago but you didn't come with us"

HC: "sorry! I was just getting something from my bag"

I didn't want to disrupt their conversation and finished up adjusting Renjun's outfit as quickly as possible because I wanted to go. Right as I was about to leave, I hear a voice call out to me, I look back and it's Haechan holding my missing scrunchie

HC: "I think you dropped this the other day when we were in my changing room"

Renjun's eyes widened with shock and horror. I took my scrunchie and walked away from the situation without looking or thanking Haechan once...Why am I like this?

RJ: "LEFT HER HAIRBAND AFTER LEAVING YOURRR CHANGING ROOM? YOURRRR CHANGING ROOM!"

HC: "YA, ya, ya be quiet! It's not what you think! I was just singing for her"

RJ: "LIKE THAT'S SUPPOSED TO BE ANY BETTER?! WHAT ARE YOU GUYS??? Does anyone else know about the...you know...the scrunchie situation?" He whispered as if him yelling a few seconds ago would make up for it

HC: "Ya, seriously it's not what you think plus I'm pretty sure she's trying to avoid me. First it was her suddenly leaving while I was singing, after it was her avoiding me while everyone was getting ready, then it was her checking everyone's outfits except mine and now her walking away without saying anything, without a thank you"
