'I bit down on my lip as a small whimper escaped my mouth. Damien's lips were planted in the soft hollow space just under my ear, nipping and sucking at the area. Draping an arm across Damien's broad shoulders, I let out a gasp as his hips thrusted his hips into mine.
A groan emitted from somewhere deep in Damien's throat as my walls tightened around him. He detached his lips from my neck before claiming my mine in a rather rough kiss. I let out a moan as he ran his tongue along my bottom lip before taking it in between his teeth. His hand dropped down, grabbing hold of my right leg and wrapping it around his torso. I couldn't help the loud moan that filled the room in response. I screwed my eyes shut as I began to pulse around him. My legs start to quake as the familiar feeling forms at the base of my stomach.
"Look at me, Love,' Damien panted. "Open your eyes."
Forcing my eyes to open, my heart dropped as I took in not Damien's features, but Jace's. Under the moonlight which filtered through the bedroom windows, I can see the shine on his tanned skin as the all too familiar chocolatey brown curls cling to his forehead. I can see the smile which spreads across his face at my realization.'

My eyes shoot open as a small gasp leaves my lips. My heart races in my chest as I glance around the dark room. When Jace is nowhere to be found, I bring my hands to my eyes and take a breath.
It was only a dream.
My thoughts are interrupted when Damien turns over in his sleep, draping an arm across my torso before pulling me into him. I couldn't help the smile that spread across my face as I turned on my side and snuggled into him. Closing my eyes, I focused on his deep, even breathing before slowly falling back to sleep.

I wake up to the sound of a device vibrating violently against one of the wooden bedside tables. Letting out a sigh, I roll out of Damien's arms and make my way over to the edge of the bed. Reaching over to the bedside table, I pick up my phone and pager only to realize neither of them are the source of the vibrating.
"It's me," Damien states with a sigh. Removing the blankets from his legs, he stands from the bed and lifts the phone to his ear. "Foster."
I watch as he makes his way out of the room, closing the door behind him. I roll onto my back as thoughts of last night's dream pops into my head. This isn't my first dream about Jace, but it is the first one where I'm sleeping with him. As of right now, the main question in my head is if I should tell my husband I'm having dreams about sleeping with my ex-fiancée.
There's no way that conversation could possibly go well.
The bedroom door opens, interrupting my thoughts as Damien makes his way into the room. We just woke up and he already looks like he's carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders. I prop myself up on my elbows.
"Everything okay?" I question. Damien's worry ridden eyes flicker to mine. As if recognizing my presence in the room, a forced smile spreads across his face.
"Yeah," He nods. "Everything's fine."
I get the urge to push him on the subject, but decide against it. If it was something worth knowing, he'd tell me. Letting the matter go, I get out of bed and make my way to the restroom. Grabbing my toothbrush, I start to go through the motions of brushing my teeth when Damien appears in the doorway.
"Isn't today your day off?" He questions.
Rinsing my mouth out, I answer, "Yes, but I have to check on Esme and Carden."
Damien nodded before standing from his lean on the doorframe. "Sawyer can drive you."
With that, he stepped out of the doorway. Placing my toothbrush back in the holder, I made my way out of the bathroom.
"I'm more than capable of driving myself." I argued, folding my arms across my chest.
"There's no doubt about that," Damien replied, turning to face me. "I'd just feel more comfortable if Sawyer drove you from now on."
"From now on?" I questioned, narrowing my eyes at my husband. "We agreed, Damien. I would drive myself to and from work. The last thing I need people thinking is since I married the owner of the hospital that I'm their boss."
Damien narrowed his eyes, a hint of a smile tugging at the corners of his lips. "Technically speaking, you are their boss."
"No, no," I shook my head. "You are their boss. I am their coworker and coworkers drive themselves to work."
Damien let out a breath, the smile on his face disappearing. Closing the space between us, he wrapped his arms around my waist and tugs me into his shirtless body. I have to remind myself to stand my ground as his golden brown orbs look into mine.
"Right now," He states calmly. "I'd feel more comfortable with you leaving the house with Sawyer."
As I stare up at him, I can see there's no way he's going to back down on this. This will happen whether I like it or not, but that's not the only thing hiding behind his eyes. "Are you sure everything is okay, Damien?"
"Positive." He replied, placing a kiss on my forehead. That melted the rest of my resolve.
"Fine," I breathed. "But he's only driving me to work. Everywhere else, I'm driving myself."
"Deal," Damien replied with a small triumphant smile.
