Juliet, 11 AM, Thanksgiving Day
I was laying in my bed, half asleep, half awake. Not quite sure of my surroundings. I had forgotten where I was at....
Until Harold brought my kids in to wake me up. They jumped up and down, almost on ME instead of the bed. After a minute or so, Harry told the kids to head back downstairs, and they did.
"Good morning to you too." I said unenthusiastically.
He kissed the top of my head. "Good morning, princess. Food's almost ready."
"Alright. I'll be down in a few." He smiled and walked out, closing the door behind him.
My legs were already over the edge of the bed. I sighed, and walked out of the room to the bathroom, which was luckily connected to our room. I brushed my teeth, splashed some water on my face and put my hair in a ponytail. It was finally getting to a length where I didn't care to wear my wig anymore. It was down to my shoulder blades. The black hair that was actually mine. My bangs swept off to the side, and I went downstairs. I was wearing some yoga pants, a camisole and a long sleeve jacket, all white.
"Oi, there she is." my brother said happily. I went to stand by him and as he put his arm aorund my shoulder, I put mine around his waist.
"You know, if you weren't adopted, I'd still say you and Niall are related." Ms. Cox said. Niall and I looked at each other, kinda scrunched up our faces, looked back, shook our heads and started laughing. It made everyone laugh as we all readied our meal. Everything was set on the huge table: food, napkins, decor, glasses, silverware. Everything you need for a holiday dinner. Harry and I sat next to each other, Darcy on the other side of me, and Jr. on Harry's right. Everyone else sat down. Plates went everywhere, and everyones' were filled. Nialls' was filled a few times. My brother really was a bottomless pit. Jokes were made, and random conversation. We even started talking about who our godparents were.
When all was done, the kids were put down for a nap (well, the twins) and the guys actually did the dishes. Harrys' mum and I sat down and talked.
"So. You and my son..."
"Uhm. We're not...actually together."
"You should be... I can the way he looks at you. He's very protective of you, which is something I don't see very often in him."
"It's probably because I've disappeared so much."
"I...I love Harry. I do. But right now...after everything that happened earlier this year--"
"I already know, my dear. I'm just saying, keep him. He doesn't want anyone else. And from what I can tell, you're not looking at anyone else, either."
I looked away from her and smiled. "No, I'm not. I don't plan on it either. Harry...is an amazing person. He has put up with me when I was unreasonable. He helped me and supported me went I had rought times. He's been patient, kind, helpful. And he took in my kids like they were his own. He really is...the person I love."
"Now that's a very good four letter word, if you are careful how you use it. But I think you're using it correctly, and I wish you and my son the best."
"Thank you." I said smiling. We had a quick hug, and watched the boys pour into the living room from the kitchen.
"You girls talking about us?" Harry asked, smirking.
"Oh yeah. Cuz you guys are that cool." I said back, somewhat sarcastically. Harry sat beside me, putting me between him and his mom, and the others scattered around the room.
