Chapter 50 - Questions Still Unanswered!

     I stumble on my heels and fall to the side, hardly collapsing on the ground before Caleb can catch me. Making a loud thud and feeling my heart pounding so quickly in my chest I feel as if I'm about to have a heart attack is when everything comes rushing through my mind. It entirely hits me, this news of my daughter bringing me into an emotional and devastated state, as I struggle to remind myself to breathe. All the color is drained from my face and agony runs through my veins, and I feel as if my life is suddenly over. Everything around me goes completely still and silent, there's now suddenly ringing in my ears, and I feel as if my world has come halting to a stop.

     I feel slight pressure against my shoulders until I slowly lift my head and see Caleb staring at me in what is obvious fear. He's leaning on his knees and his hands are firmly gripping my shoulders, slightly shaking me as I stare at his mouth and see that his lips are moving in sync. I'm able to tell that he's speaking to me but I hear nothing. All I hear is the loud ringing in my ears that simply won't stop. My whole world has came crashing down right before my very eyes.

    "Bella," I finally hear his voice, thick with panick and shock as my eyes lock with his and I stay entirely silent. "Bella? Are you okay? What's going on, baby?"

     "Nevaeh," I whisper, barely any sound to my shakey voice. "My mom. . . She said, Nevaeh. . ."

   His eyes immediately widen and fill with concern, as they water up and he stares at me in absolute horror. "What?" He questions, softly at first before it settles in his head and he's so loud it causes me to flinch in response. "WHAT?"

   "I can't breathe," I carefully whimper, placing my hand firmly against my chest as I burst uncontrollably into tears. My eyes close and I lose control over my body as my heart swells and pounds too quickly, so fast that it makes me unable to catch my breath. "I can't breathe. . ."

    "Just breathe," he races out, and I fell his arm wrap around my shoulder a moment later. Through my tears my vision is blurry when I open my eyes, but I'm able to see him pick up the cellphone as fast as ever before holding it to his ear. "Hello?" He rushes out in panick, cursing under his breath as he dials a number. "It's Caleb... Yeah she's okay, what's going on? She's balling her eyes out and she fell... She physically can't answer me," he quickly tells my mother, his eyes suddenly going wide as his jaw instantly drops, leaving his mouth wide open. "WHAT? NO. WHAT HAPPENED? PLEASE, GET HER TO THE HOSPITAL. I'LL MEET YOU THERE. PLEASE DON'T LET ANYTHING HAPPEN TO MY DAUGHTER. PLEASE," he nearly begs her, his voice as emotional as I have ever heard him before as he nervously stares down into my eyes. "We'll be there soon."

    "I'm sorry Caleb--"

   He hangs up the phone and shoves it into his pocket before firmly taking my face between his hands, staring deeply into my fearful eyes as his expression turns serious.  "Sorry for what? You did nothing wrong, baby. We have to get to the hospital now," he sternly states, as I nod my head and he easily gets to his feet before I grab his hand and begin to stand up.

    "Ouch!" I loudly gasp, moaning in sudden discomfort as I fall back down onto my butt and I gently grab my ankle, and I'm in so much pain. "Oh my god--"
