It's been one and a half weeks since I got engaged. It wasn't a big engagement party which was held in Anjali aunt's hotel. Just family members and closest friends, not even media were allowed. Even the photographers Sid hired were his people.

Not that I wanted a royal wedding or party. Fuck the royal wedding, I didn't want to get married in the first place.

Mom and Papa were so happy with my decision. There was a constant smile and proud look on their face, the same goes for Anjali aunt and uncle. They all were teasing us like some high-school students. Mom being a typical mom, started dreaming about our future babies, and Anjali aunt, being her best friend; both kept gossiping and giggling.

Pihu... well talking about Pihu, I still have some investigation to do about her and Ansh. They both sneaked out of the party together. God knows where did they go in the middle of the party. They came back after one or two hours though. I tried to ask her but she managed to escape every time.

However, Ana and Riya were acting weird. I mean they didn't even react like how I imagined them. In fact, they were super excited about the marriage and especially Riya for shopping.

I still remember, when they both came into my room the next day, exactly at seven O'clock, Squealing and jumping excitedly. I slept at three in the morning that day and then this happened. I mean, who the hell is so energetic at seven in the morning?

Like damn... It's seven a.m.

Then at the party, Riya was giving cold shoulder to Kartik. Every time he tried to talk with her either she went away from him or acted like he wasn't standing there and talking to her at all.

As for Shivam, he was staring at Ana non-stop and it was quite creepy might I add. Shivam always radiates that dangerous aura just like Sid and I wasn't liking that not even a bit.

How did I know all this?

When you are glued to Ghamandi Gorilla for the whole evening and bored af, you start observing everything. Don't believe me? Then try it for yourself.

After exchanging our rings. Sid intertwined our hands and kept dragging me everywhere he went. Whenever someone complimented me or us as a couple, he would bring our intertwined hands up and kiss on my engagement ring and the drop-shaped birthmark below my thumb.

He kept caressing that birthmark from time to time and kissing it which was doing things to me. It gave me a whole garden full of flowers and butterflies in my stomach. But at the same time, he was testing my limits. How I wish to slam his head against the wall for blackmailing me into this marriage. If not for my family and my best friends I would have cracked his skull.

I parked my car in the parking lot and started heading towards my office building entrance.

"Ruhi."

I turned around to look at the person.

"Not again! God, why do you hate me so much?" I groaned and looked up at the sky and mumbled frustratingly.

"What do you want, Aryan? Can't you just leave me alone?" I gritted out.

"Mam, do you need my help with something?" The security guard came forward a little alarmed, eyeing Aryan. I needed to end this shit for once and all.

"No. It's okay. You can go back to your work."

"Look, Ruhi. I just wanted to say sorry to you. I know I was wrong. I did wrong with you and Saira but I didn't mean to happen all that. Give me one chance. I want to get us back together like we used to do. It's been eight years, Ruhi. Can you at least think about it? Try to forget and forgive me? I was and am still trying to apologize to you. I really love you."
