Theo and Liam had spent the whole afternoon trying to figure out what to say to Liam's parents. How they would explain everything that has happened and about to happen. they needed their help and they didn't want to piss them off by doing the right thing at the wrong age.

"Right so... We're gonna tell them that Derek helped us with a savings account meant for Luvel... and we're gonna share the big room to give her a nursery. anything else?" Liam looked to Theo.

"We tell them that since I don't have school I'm gonna pull some doubles to get extra money, and Derek paid to have my truck fixed so we have a running vehicle to take her to the doctor or vet..." Theo said, scratching his head.

"should we... I don't know... take a parenting class or something? show that we're serious." Liam offered, unsure what else would prove to his parents that he and Theo could do this.

"Let's see how this goes before we do something like that." Theo sighed and sat back to relax but then Liam's mom called from downstairs.

"Boys, come help with the groceries." she yells up the stairs. Both teens groan but they get up and go help bring the bags in. They each loaded up with half the bags and carried them in. They helped put everything away.

"Mom... Can Theo and I talk to you for a second?" Liam asked as he put the last case of water away in the pantry.

"Of course, hun, what about?" His mom smiled at him and sat at the table. The teens followed suit. Theo took a deep breath and decided to throw his script out the window.

"The agency that is taking Luvel is well known for the mistreatment of the children in its care... I... I mean we couldn't let Luvel go to that. To live a life like that. So... With the help of some of the pack, we've managed to start the paperwork to adopt her."

The two teens went silent, letting Mrs. Geyer take in the information... She continued to just stare at them, unblinking and not uttering a single sound.

"Mom... Theo is gonna take on a few more hours to help pay for anything and I'll get a job too if we need that.. Or I can stay home and watch her and work the hours Theo doesn't. We can take care of her. We will take care of her." Liam offered in an attempt to cool the anger that he feared was coming.

"How bad is the agency?" She asked when she finally was able to wrap her head around everything. "Just how bad would it be if you didn't adopt her?" There was a teenager's idea of bad and then there was a court's idea of bad. If it was a court's idea she'd stand with them. If it was a teenager's idea she would pull the papers and stop the adoption.

"They took her in a dog cage... There was no sign of a car seat.. Nothing for transporting human babies. From what Derek has said... They go as far as letting dog fighting rinks adopt the pups long as they get a cut of the winnings. They will raise the children as pets and keep them as such. If they even live to be old enough to be kept as a pet." Theo explained further what the children go through. Reminding Mrs. Geyer that there was no other agency for the hybrid pup and without a family willing to care for her there was nowhere for her to go.

By the time Theo pauses and lets the info sink in Mrs. Geyer already had her mind made up. "Well then you both need to get prepared cause a few hours with a child isn't anything compared to what you will go through when you are a full time parent." She started to list everything that they would need and she tossed out some stories of what she went through with Liam. "I can't even imagine what will come with having a hybrid, you both should talk to Derek about that. See what can be expected from a born hybrid."

Theo and Liam both look at each other and wonder if they should go to the pack and ask someone of more experience to take Luvel. They knew they couldn't but they just had to have the thought at least once.
